Which IMHO that makes those knives that much more special, I always appreciate when share photos of your special collection John.

The GEC gods have smiled upon me, was able to procure a sheep and spear point knives from two different vendors! One will be a user for sure. Will post pics upon arrival.

I've been sporadically looking at dealers that normally sell GEC's looking to see any new models. Has the demand finally surpassed what GEC can produce and they just sell out instantly now?

First time for quite a while that I tried to buy new from a distributor( spear point). It was pretty much a case in futility. Someone bought them up though; like the five on the auction site all from the same seller at about double the price. I'll just watch the classifieds but will probably do without as I won't pay a big premium

That said; I am very happy for those of you that were able to get one. If you were able to get extras and make a little side money I have no problem with that either. I just don't need one enough myself to buy at highly inflated prices.

EDIT for July 17, Collector Knives showed the Spear points in stock and I got one ordered at normal price

I just got the shipping notice on mine! I had to decide between the spear and sheepsfoot- going back and forth several times before going with the spear. Now for the waiting!

So did anyone else notice that the steel on these is 420HC??? I assumed they would be 440 but maybe GEC determined that is not stainless enough?

Thanks, I went over there and looked at them.
I have no interest in buying them, but it was nice to finally see a GEC sitting on the shelf... and see what price they SHOULD sell for.

I just went through the Dealers and there were at least 3 that still had at least One available . Finally a chance to get one with the PPP on the blade . After buying GEC product for 6 years , I still do not have one with PPP on the blade yet , but that is ending soon .

Woohoo! So did I! I really didn't want one, but when I got the alert notification and saw that they still had them in stock, I jumped on the sheepsfoot! I guess I was so excited that I managed to get there on time (usually don't!) that I couldn't help myself! (I somehow missed Mike's Telegram notification for an early reserve).
