Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the bullet shield but I can't figure the theory they were operating under when they decided not to go with the gator shield on that one. Keeping the cover materials, in my humble opinion, it should've gone:

Tidioute - Burlap Micarta - Spear
Tidioute - Che Chen - Cloud
Northfield - Burnt Sienna - Bullet
Northfield - C Green Jigged - Gator

I guess I could get my head around the C Green jigged/Bullet combo if hunting gators was in any way sporting, but gators just kinda lay there. It's more sporting to go frog gigging then gator hunting - at least the frogs can be somewhat difficult to spot and will try to get away. 🤷
 
Does anyone else like to do this?

I enjoy the fidgeting satisfaction of the one hand opening capabilities of the 72. You gotta hold your mouth just right to get it open, but practice makes perfect.

I’m sure I’m asking for side to side wobble issues in the future…but I’ve been known to throw caution to the wind.

At one point i was curious if these could be flicked open, then i had speculated that this could be one handed, even probably possible on the 83. glad to see it is.

83s have too light blade to flick them open.
