#77 Barlow 2016 - What configuration would you like?

Unless something changes, you can drop the burl woods and d2 from the wish lists. Too many seconds have to go out the back door.
Then you have a majority wanting steel bolsters and a good number wanting 440C; "she sounds hideous".

Haha, I imagine if it's 1095 they would want the all steel construction and if it's 440c they would want it in all stainless construction.

A lot of talk about lambsfoot blades on the forum lately. If you just changed the blade and used all the same cover/bolster configurations you have used in the past it would allow people to still collect them as a complete set.

You could wait to decide the barlow blade until your SFO 85 with scandi is in your hands to see how it turns out. A scandi blade on the barlow might fit really well... look at the michigan jack - if I recall correctly they are built on the same frame, but would be distinctly different because of the bolsters and so on...

One of my favourite knife blades you've used/of all time was the Clip with a crisp crescent nail nick on this 2 blade wharncliffle/clip. The deep nail nick gave me more leverage and an easier time opening versus the long pull clips you've had made in the past which aids me since I'm a younger guy but with rheumatoid arthritis and those fingers don't work too well in the morning :D

I'd love to see a run using this clip and a pen secondary behind the main for the 2 blade.

As for cover materials..I'd like to see more sawcut utilised in different shades and colours this time around. I'd like to see the resurgence of frontier bone, polished stag, maybe jigged micarta (would love to see one this done), jigged bone, etc.

This knife is quite fabulous! I can see me with one of those.

A clip paired with a coping blade or other straight secondary for maximum versatility. I always prefer 440C and it's so hard to come by from GEC. Finally for the covers, heck I don't care just make it green!

Sheepsfoot and pen with Tortoise Shell Acrylic handles would be nice. Other 2 blade variations with same handles would be cool too.

Please add Chechen Rosewood to the mix. I'd like to have one with a large clip and a small wharncliffe with an extended backspring.

Ok.....raising my head again......

ROTTEN BANANA BONE!!!! PULEEEEEEEZZZZZE.

rare........and beautiful.......please couple it with a clip coping/pen....

One more time.....ROTTEN BANANA BONE..

I promise not to speak up again....well maybe...

Here's another vote for Rotten Banana Bone. Smooth Yellow Bone works too. Maybe etch the bolster with a rose?

Don't yet own a Barlow but I would buy a clip or drop in a heartbeat. Lots of awesome cover suggestions so far. I feel like almost every one mentioned would look great. All the previous variations of saw cut bone look amazing. looking forward to the future developments of this run.

Snakewood 440C Swedged long pull Clip Point with a Spey secondary, lined bolsters, cloud shield, brass pins and liners, lanyard hole.

Pretty much my dream GEC.

I'm liking the suggestions of a cap-lifter as a secondary blade. If not a cap-lifter then a coping secondary. In either case put the secondary BEHIND the primary.

I agree with Arozonranchman. I'd love to see a cap-lifter as the secondary blade, pared with a spear, sheep's foot or warncliffe. I use the screwdriver and cap-lifter almost as much as the blade on several of my EDCs.

ROTTEN BANANA BONE!!!! PULEEEEEEEZZZZZE.

Hadn't thought about these handles, but they would look awesome on a #77 Barlow! Can't go wrong with saw-cut bone on a Barlow either. I can see maybe staying away from the wooden handles like snakewood or osage-orange with the recent issues...ebony would be a "safe" choice. Classic clip and coping config for the blades.

I'll echo MadTrapper's question for those of us who count our pennies; any idea what quarter these would project being run?
