A 2016 Forum Knife. An apology, and The Crossroads!

I am glad to hear about this adventure. I am in for a knife. Not sure yet what I would like.

I can understand not wanting to do another cap lifter. But the Talon is being run right now (currently on the front page) and it is very similar to a lambsfoot. There are differences but they are very similar. Would the handle be the same as the 47 or different?

Sorry Jake, missed this before. I think the 47 frame might be a bit large for a Lambsfoot, but it's a nice swayback shape. I think it'd look good with a nice big Sheepsfoot

Thanks for considering to take this load onto your shoulders again Charlie!

I would love to see an equal-ended forum knife with a tool as secondary. The tool can be a caplifter, awl, saw, scissors, canopener, package opener like the one on the Gerber Dime, pliers like the ones in TsarBomba's knife http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ls-of-course!/page234?p=15739751#post15739751 or anything even more exotic [emoji41].

Anyway, I would probably buy the forum knife in whatever form it will take [emoji4]

Makes sense. Thanks for doing this again Charlie, I know many trust your judgement and are extremely grateful for your work, myself included.

I am partial to this Robeson jack - it is smallish, whereas all of the Forum Knives that we have had are larger;

This one is not quite "peanut" small, but it is still very pocketable and what a nice, simple design.

With some dark brown bone...tasty.

The jigging is really nice on this one -

I've wanted a Charlow for some time now, what a cool opportunity for us to have one specifically for us BF folk! So here's a crazy idea after just reading through the whole thread, what about a Charlow with the lambsfoot blade done all Ancient Barlow style finish?! Scratted bone (or micarta) and all!! :D

Problem is, due to the Barlow Renaissance, Barlows abound in all handles and sizes. The Forum Knife from 09 was a Barlow too, so I feel something more unusual is called for.

There's also the fact that Charlie might want to keep the TC Barlow as his own pattern :) I think he's being generous enough already

Okay guys I am putting together a good doc and sending the link to Charlie where we can attempt to keep track of this thing. I have every distinct person who has expressed interest, and I also broke down some of the most mentioned general designs so we could get an early idea of interest. I will try and keep this updated every few days. Hopefully its of some use.

I agree, and would certainly understand if he did wish to keep it so. As of now, all TCs have been directly from Charlie other than the 2014 Rendezvous knife and some unrequested surprises from Mr. Howard (the infamous TC Beerlow in Appaloosa Soup Bone ;) ), as far as I know.

I have no interest in a TC barlow for a forum knife. Let's look for something a little more unusual!

I think a Lanny's Clip was mentioned a few times in the other wish-list thread. I would be good with something like that.

, if you see this, can you post a group shot of forum knives to date?

I've always thought that knife of Charlie's was a spectacular example Robin

Rat-tail that bolster, and it'd be very close to George Mallory's ;)

I believe that "Here's an old Robeson to ponder..." is cool. Like the alox Bantam 2, just nicer, if that's possible. GEC, bone and mail.

I like JackBlacks idea of a lambsfoot blade. GEC did a very short run of Oiley Creek bone last year and the covers turned out really nice.

Oiley Creek bone with lambsfoot blade would be very unique...

Thank you sir, that's a really great-looking knife
