I have a great idea, this thread has gone on long enough, and if you stood behind mick before, you totally understand him getting pissed off at dekdek.
if you didnt your additude is still the same, big shocker there.
This thread is going no where. so why doesn't everyone just cool it, and the the thread sink. so many arguements are going on in one thread its sickening.
so just drop it and

STFU!
Just go to another thread, and enjoy looking at nice knives.
if you think its a good idea please, dont say so just let the thread die

Hey tough guy, when you come to the knife show will you be wearing your uniform or your karate outfit? Wow the color of your posts says it all, look at me I'm am internet tough guy.
 
Lets not be stupid here. This thread has gone on for 18 pages for one and only one reason, and its because Mick Strider came in like a 14 year old in a hissy pushing fight and told someone to lick his sack rather than being a stand up business man, professional and polite. If he had come in polite, it would have been over. Does anyone here care that he is fixing the knife after the display he put on? i sure dont.

Forget complaining that the guy posted in the first place. GO BACK and read the first post. its honest, polite, and asking for advice.

This shitstorm started when the maker of the defective (oh, sorry, BRO) knife came in acting like a total waste of space....dont complain about the bandwagon when Mick is the one who drove the wagon up, parked it, stocked it with cold beers, and asked if anyone wanted to hop on.

I was going to exit this forum, but that had to be the most asinine remark I have ever heard. Here is a LEO stating his mind and someone has to try to make him into a mall ninja. I hope he is not the one that has to come to your house and protect you from someone that could possibly being in a mind to harm you. Bad, very bad!! :mad:

Tic Tock, it is plain to see, that no matter what is said here, you have a serious grudge against Mick and Strider knives. I have seen it all over the fourms. So why don't you just back off and let this die. You have a mission here and it is failing!! Why do you have this cross to burn? Is he taking your business or what??

After reading the posts, these are my 2 cents.

Both parties have lost in this problem.
Both the manufacturer as the customer.
What should have been done is that the owner of the knife should have send it back to the retailer of the knife.
I have seen a lot of people post here first and then send their .......... knife back to the W&R departement.
Mr strider was faced with the problem that he has no means of defending himself against these posts.
We have seen this happen with every quality knife brand.
Instead of all jumping on the bandwagon our first response should be "send it back to the manufacturer".
When it is PROVEN that the manufacturer is at fault then we have the right to question his integrity.

So please let this thread die out. It will influence the livelyhood of Mr Strider, because he has knives to sell to feed his family and employees.

And to the poor guy who paid a lot of cash for a factory second , please contact the retailer of the knife and tell him to fix the problem so you get what you paid for.

Now I've just found time to skim the last few pages, but it sure looks like a bunch of people who are not involved chose to make personal attacks on other people who are not involved either. Looks like a bunch of going to get banned when I find time to read their posts over more carefully.

Please. Be careful saying stuff like that. I have met Jake once, and it was a very pleasurable experiance. He is a very knowledgable, and dedicated member of the LEO community.

He is also VERY good at what he does. I can say this because I have met him. Unless you have, you really should type more carefully.

I will leave it at that.

Ive never posted about strider or Mick before. I thought this was a decent thread, both honest and polite. I had no doubt he would clear it up, then he showed up and acted as he did, and ive followed the thread. Ive continued to post because it seems some of the eXtReMe folks from other forums jumped on here, created and account, and started touting stuff that makes me believe he could feed them crap and tell them its ice cream, and they would smile and lick it off their lips saying thank you.

It does other knifemakers an injustice when a maker acts like this. Most makers are not like that. I suppose I should be happy I am not like that and leave he thread be....

You say Mick came in and acted like he did, but did you not see his second post that he in his own way apologized for his tantrum and told the guy to send the knife in and he would make it right?? But you keep on hammering him for his first post. I think I would have acted the same way, well almost, because dekdek was running off the mouth about how bad the two folders were that he looked at. And by the way, he has never stopped. How would you feel if someone who doesn't know that much about knives made a post like that. I am sure most knife makers would have done the same thing. Maybe not a verbal as he did, but they would definitely made their feelings known.
Now I am through here, just wanted to give my thoughts on this. Mick is not a business man, he is a knife maker and speaks his thoughts, maybe not in the correct manner, but a man has to protect his product. Right!!

C'mon Larry you know these guys are bad ass, they have all the X-Box games to prove it, well, that and they write their handle in alternating upper and lower case letters (The sure sign of a real hero, not like an ex 82nd Vietnam combat vet ;) )
