In honor of this thread I am proposing a new knife for Striders line.... the LMNS :D :D

(That would be the Strider Lick My Nutt Sack, normally I would not feel the need to break it down but I'm not sure the IQ averages out high enough on this thread for everyone to get it ;))

And when there's seconds, Mick can label them as "Ho's" (as opposed to "Bro's") and give them out to people who piss him off :p :p

This has nothing to do with the standards I set for makers. This has to do with a very basic standard. Poets who write often have to deal with the fact that the moment their hand leaves the paper, they lose rights to the meaning of their words. if you let something leave your shop, you need to understand you have no right to the path it takes. The OP did not know it was a BRO knife, if it even was one. It is not his responsibility to distinguish that possibility unless it is a known fact that BRO knives exist, such as their having some marking characteristic. This knife has no such characteristic other than the shoddy finishing work on it. Everyone here seems to accept its final state as a signifier of the BRO status. A knifes poor condition should never be the signifier as to the legitimate manufacture and sale of it originally, but we will never know until:
1. Strider marks his factory seconds as such.
2. Users research the extended history, back to the grinding state, of every knife they purchase since otherwise they risk abuse upon complaint.

Mick personaly makes any knife that is marked M. STRIDER, so I am pretty sure he knows what the SLCC looked like when it left the shop.

He said that at the very least it is a 2nd hand, that means that it is not a NORMAL SLCC.

What is so hard to understand about that?

I would be pissed off too after all the crap that people talk here, and everyone coming out of the woodwork to take a swing, when what should of been done is contact the seller then the maker and try and get things fixed.

If I bought a knife, and was as far as we can tell the THIRD owner, and there was anything wrong with it, my first action would not to start a thread talking crap about the maker.

I guess that is the difference between me and A LOT of people here, which explains my LOW post count, but you can clearly see I am not a NEWBIE.

lastly, NEVER saw a "call" go out asking for people to come here and support Mick, he is just that type of guy where many are HONORED to do so, let see if many of you ever get to that point in your life, I can only hope to.

Just picked up a M. STRIDER custom SNG, and it is 100% perfect, and I know that if there is EVER an issue with it, I will be taken care of, that is what keeps me coming back.

Interesting reading after being away for 8 days (not) :barf:.

A few problems here.
Possible second hand kife with some cosmetic flaws. (Hey mistakes happen and or knives get used and abused. That should not be a surpise to anyone.)

Come in here point out these things without contacting the maker first. (Ok (not the best first choice but Ok , but not with the tone/generalizations used)

Mick says he'll take care of it and (being Mick ;)) adds a few expected Mickisms. Sounds to me that when a maker stands behind his work that is a good thing.

So (besides the goofballs on both sides of the bandwagon and B.F. bashers dropping in for a visit) what exactily is the problem? :confused: :p

Just to interject my .02 pesos....I've had more than a few APBT's that were "dead game" and yes I know what it means. ;)
If your dog displays aggression towards people, that really reflects poorly on the owner. Pits were never intended to be people aggressive. Animal aggressive - yes, but not towards people. If yours has these traits, I really question why you have one. Do you feel a sense of "toughness"? Mebbe you are an aspiring hip-gangsta wannabe (that might explain your awesome grasp of the english language)? Folks like you are the reason this breed is having such a hard time in the last couple of years. If I've read you wrong, I'm sorry....just tired of seeing bad owners ruin good dogs. I never hesitated to leave my kids with mine, made for great playtime. Just thought I'd throw this into the "destined to be the longest thread ever"
BTW - Looking forward to picking up my first Strider next saturday. :D :thumbup:

On the other hand, I got so excited reading all these perspicacious comments that I upgraded to Platinum. I'd have done it sooner if I realized I would get a WYSIWYG text composition box. :cool:

I have perfect leadership skills but I am probably not as good as speller as you are. The dog eventually had to be put down. He was just to mean for his own good. Couldn't trust him around my kids. Some dogs just can't learn new tricks :rolleyes:
 
If we're going to change the subject here I want to ask this.

Nope no people issues but lots of dog issues, Keep in mind even a game pit wil jump onto a human if another dog it runs with jumps first. Nope Im no Gangsta just a half ridgerunner half river rat from Arkansas. Rumer has it we dont know much about knives or dogs around there but then that may not be true. Nice picture how old is your dog now?
 
Do pitbulls eat funnel cake?
Speaking of funnel cake, RWS's wife need back away from the funnel cake. What a porker!
