Another Local Man of Mystery breaks the Dumb Barrier!

sorry to tell you but the dumb barrier was broke the moment you logged on as your dog. First of all I ain't a local , I aint anywhere near you , which apparently holds the same for your common sense. ByeBye dekdek take a hikehike.

I will just ignore you from now on.

Did anyone else notice something rather odd about TikTock's knife? ;)

I would be upset if someone announced to the world that my products are going downhill, suck, blah blah....That was uncalled for. Words may be cheap but are powerful and something like that can damage a reputable knifemaker. All Midget had to do is contact the dealer and take it up with him or call Strider and they would be more than willing to correct the problem.
NO! Products stand on their own merit and when something like this happens people express their past experiences and it's either a win or lose situation depending on how good the product and customer service is.
When a knifemaker insults others, THAT's when his repution goes downhill. Mick is pissing into the wind when he says stuff like that.

So a dekdek is a poodle? Toy poodle or the full size version. I haven't ever seen a dekdek. What is dekdek's bone in this thread??

Must be a quality control manager for the knife community.

you know what I so respect about Mick ? he speaks his mind. Screw the whole politically correct BS , you got something to say then say it , no sense beating around the bush about crap. Wow , someone got their feelings hurt. Awwww poor them.

If you get your panties all bunched up yer crack over such petty comments then try a large size or switch to boxers.

Okay since we aren't using icons to express ourselves. What is your dog in this fight?
I'll tell you that mine is to defend Mick but what is your's??
Has Strider knives wronged you in some way?
Have your feelings been hurt?
I mean really what is it?
Is it just an overall concern for the knife community?
Or is there some hidden agenda??

Why don't you read my posts and then maybe you can figure it out.

No, dekdek is 100% flag waving American Pit Bull Terrior. She is a little black bitch at 9 months old and 100% game if you know what that means. She has some pretty nasty manors so she has to stay leashed when in public.

That wouldn't help. Good thing is that the last 10 pages of this thread have nothing to do with Mick :D

Just a bunch of hot air. Wonder where Midget is?? Haven't heard anything out of him lately? The plane boss the plane :o

Your a funny dude.
What is the Strider warranty anyway......O'h yeah I will fix your knife but only after I humiliate you on a public knife forum. And if that's not enough I will send over my cronies from Badlands. Wow the name sends shivers down my spine.

Mine went something like this.

Me- Hi Mick, broke my pocket clip off my SnG jumping off the engine yesterday. It caught on something on the way out and the force of my body weight broke it off. I'd really like to pay you for the fix since it was 110% my fault.

Mick- No way brother. Send that bad boy in to me. 1 week later, total turn around time, fixed SnG. No cronies, no public humiliations. Just real, honest to goodness customer service. That's just 1 example, but I have more if you need them. The results were always the same. Fast, free, and friendly.

John...

More words of Wisdom from the guy who went home with hurt feelings- No high five!

I don't see that giving someone a knife that you could'nt sell because of the lousy job you did on the knife in the first place is such an admirable thing at all.

As someone who has been on the recieving end of that from time to time, I can tell you I appreciate it. Not everyone values cosmetics, the only problem I would have would be that the tip may have been softened, so if you were gifting it to someone you would just note for them to test it before they need to depend on it, which should go without saying anyway.

It is just fantasy to think no knifemaker makes mistakes or has a bad day, many people will just junk those knives, Strider instead gives them away. I don't see this is a bad thing, all I would suggest is a simple stamp like CS uses which prevents problems on the secondary market as you don't want to cause problems for your customer base.

Note as well that it is actually costing them money or could depending on when the mistakes were noted. Some could have been early on, and instead of junking the knife at that point the decision was made to finish it so it could be of use to someone in the service. So it is bit different than just "you could not sell it anyway".

You folks have already been warned about personal attacks. There won't be another warning.

I don't see a need to lock this thread. A lot of information has come out here and overall people will make up their own minds.

The funny thing about Bladeforums is that people are allowed to have an opinion and express themselves. Thank you, Spark.
