Woah, I might have to pick one of these up!

Somebody help me out here:

N690 Stainless? What steel is that similar to?

N690 Bohler I have found to be very similar to 154CM used by Benchmade and VG10 of Spyderco but with slight better edge retention. N690 is a Swedish steel that is well known in Europe as far as I know. I have to ad (if I can remember correctly) there is a difference between N690 and Bohler N690. Trevor uses the latter.

Here is a search on N690 Bohler, hope it helps with some further reading if you are interested:

I've had my EXK1 for a few weeks now and I'm loving it.

Hi everyone. I have been having some problems with my photobucket. Can anyone still see my original photos?

Does anyone know of a company that makes a pocket sheath with the clip on it, to carry the Burger? I am leaning towards having a clip put on it, but it looks so good without one.
Thanks

There are a few leather makers on the forums that you might want to contact, maybe even one close to you. Might want to ask in the Sheaths and Such sub-forum, those guys are great and I learned a lot there. Ended up making my own sheath that cost me $10 and my own time and very rewarding. Mine is just a loop sheath but am sure someone can explain how to make a sheath with a clip on it in detail if you would like to give it a try. Here is my picture:

Great site!:thumbup::thumbup: Really interesting reviews and informative.

Thanks a lot. If you (or anyone else) is ever looking for a place to host reviews.....let me know. You can sign up yourself and start writing just like that. (I still have a few technical difficulties to work out but there's workarounds for those.)

I just got my Large EXK, ok not just now but on the 28th and wil post pics. i also got a few photos of the exk with damascus and excotic woods. it was great to visit Trevor and talk to him! hope those who have their exk uses them well!

Hey Marthinus, I visited the Burger workshop on 30 December. Fred told me that you had been there. It was an honour to meet such a skilled yet humble knife maker. Unfortunately Trevor was in Durban for the day but I did get the tour and Fred even gave me a bunch of old Blade magazines. One of my mates bought this knife while we were there. It is a real beauty and the pics don't do it any justice.

Hi Mike. Your friend has one great knife! I was there again on the 31st so we did miss each other by a hair! Hope your EXK is still treating you good?

Here are some of my pictures. More detail ones will follow, but I am stuck with a dial-up connection for now. :(
