Now that looks like a real winner!!
How does the knife feel in your hand with that clip?
Need to order one from Steve ASAP!!
Thanks for the picture.

You're welcome, glad I could help. To be quiet honest you can't even feel the clip with knife in hand. Steve really done an outstanding job when designing the clip!!

I feel one of those is in my future. I happen to like 13C26 just fine and the knife does have a lot of appeal.

I just got it. Let me tell you: if you like the JYD, I think you'll love the Mini-Cyclone. It's really solid, feels better in the hand (my opinion), and I happen to like the clip and AO better. The on/off switch for the AO is a nice touch, too.

I put in my order with Kershawguy for a Rake yesterday.
The Kershaw collection is growing. :)

THG,

I sure like the looks of a mini-cyclone. I wish I had been in on the framelock version. They are "out of this world" priced now so I'll have to wait for another sprint run (if we are lucky).

When the Rake gets here I'll have to do a family picture.

I just ordered the Storm ll in a plain edge. 19.95, its a good deal. Thanks for the heads up. I hate they are discontinuing it, its a solid knife.

I didn't know that there was a framelock version

Would that happen to be the same as the ZDP version? I'd like to get a Cyclone in a better steel, but I don't happen to like ZDP-189. And you're right about the pricing; it's insane.

The framelock is the Ti/ZDP model. 500 produced, and you're right. The prices are up there. The last one I saw on the bay went for right at $500. Good thing I have a bunch of them NIB! :D

Where exactly do you live? :p

hehehe! I'm not telling! :D Tho you might see one on the exchange around the first of December. I won't be going for the $500 level. I think the time is coming to turn some of them loose and let others enjoy the Ti/ZDP goodness. Someone will have a nice Christmas!

This is the first time I've been back to this thread since page 1 and surprise surprise theres talk of the JYD II CB. I've recently been carrying mine as most of my other knives were just not doing it for me. Its one of the best bang for the buck knives I think I have ever purchased and its in my pocket now :)

Kershaw seems to be knocking it out the park lately with designs and some of the highest quality production knives I think I've seen. I can't can't wait for my 551 but I'm starting to think I want to add to my ZT collection and reduce some of the folders I don't use.

So I was thinking of selling off a few and getting a new 303....... opinions? (I had a 300 before) I think it would be nice company for the 551 :)

Then I saw the Rick Hinderer/Zero Tolerance collaboration and I decided that I had to have that one. In the process of getting Pre-Ordered I went ahead and bought a ZT0350CB and closely behind the ZT0301. Finially, this week I got the G10 Tyrade.

These are really good knives. Actually they are exceptional knives. I had no idea what I was missing out on. I have to say that I'm very pleased with these fine knives.:thumbup:

I'm right behind 'ya, Flatlander. Just "discovered" ZT this week with a 350CB. Love the "Twack" it makes when it opens. It won't be my last ZT, you can be sure of that. BTW, what is the orange scaled knife in your pic? Might have to go on a search for that exact beauty!

I've picked up a couple of more since that picture....Kershaw Rake (middle) & Kershaw Junkyard Dog II both with composite CPM-D2.

The orange knife is a Kershaw Tyrade in G10 and also a composite CPM-D2 blade which happens to be sterile (no marks).

All great knives. I'm particularily infatuated with the JYD.

Flatlander, your Bucks are weeping in their boxes:D.I might have to spring for a JYD also, but really dislike the batwing clip.Must be because I'm 48 and not 20 something.

LOL, I'm on record as disliking the clip also. I just asked a fellow if he still had a spare STR lowrider, but if not I'll order one from Steve. There is a picture in this thread of an STR clip on a JYD.

I have by no means thrown in the towel with my Bucks...just braching out some. I like several Spyderco's a lot as well and a couple of BM's get a nod too.

When you get your knife will you come back and give your opinion on it?
Btw, Fit and Finish on mine was outstanding. You should be very pleased there.

I just got my 350CB. Nice knife, wide blade, and surprisingly light. Normally I would not think of using this word to describe fat blades, but this one deserves it -- it's CUTE!

I'm very pleased.

The 350 pattern just has something appealing about it!! I agree with your description. Enjoy it.

How are you liking the Rake? I have been on the fence about picking one up to go with my CB collection. (leek, JYD, and zt350 so far) I like the looks of it and the fact that it is AO. How does it compare to the JYD and 350?

At first I was put off about a couple of things: a. slow AO b. thin liners
It's been sitting here next to the keyboard and I've been opening it repeatedly for no particular reason and "surprise" the AO is now popping the blade right out there (must have been to factory grease slowing it). So we're good on that issue and I decided the liner thickness was just a surprise because I expected it to be thicker and its really not an issue.

It seems to be a nice knife and feels similar to the JYD in my hand. Other than that I can't say. I need to carry it for a while, I just haven't. I know the composite blade will be great since I have that in the Tyrade and JYD. I guess I should say it's a real nice knife and even a great one for the price Kershawguy will charge you. Get it it the pattern appeals to you.

Today's carry...
ZT301, Sage II, BM710

I know, why three and the answer is because "I want too":D

JYD II CB,all-black Shallot,all-black Spec Bump so far...and on Kershawguy's pre-order list for the ZT/Hinderer 0551 & Zt 0550.
Kershawguy will continue getting most of my Toy money but I feel they're a bargain, and none of my users are for sale!

Lol, nice!

Thank you for the response. I think I may ask kershawguy to add one to my order when it comes time to pay for the ZT551. However, then it probably won't get used for a little while! :D
