A New Folder from CRK

Imagine all the warranty service requests, "there is something wrong with my new knife, the locking mechanism is broken."
Sal mentioned at a show in the UK that a member of the Spyderco team suggested they call the UKPK the same asthe rest of their knives that don't lock. Faulty

Having always used non locking knives (mostly SAKs) I've never had an issue with it but I do think OHO is much easier with locking folders.
From what I gather the William Henry legacy didn't go down too well in the US. Meanwhile I arranged a group buy of over 25 of them in a single go and many more have been seen on the British forum

I keep looking here to see if a picture has been leaked from CRK!

Love my sebbie's but a new folder is a must have I think.

I don't believe the Sebenza can be improved upon but...If anyone can do it, Chris Reeve can.

wow, not much support for a "tactical" knife. personally, i'd love to see something along the lines of a hinderer xm-18. military-style, yes, but still extremely functional as an all-rounder and it doesn't have to look ridiculous like a strider (imo).

ejskle - I have the same feelings about the Strider, not that they are bad but I see a lot of wasted space with the choil. You need to pack as much cutting edge into a folder as possible. The only thing I can see CRK using is the classic, tried and true materials such as thick Ti on both sides, good solid spaces and stop, and a nice piece of S30V. Maybe a little thicker at .160-180 or so. And maybe a thicker pivot, not that it needs it but that would at least change the look and feel. No half Ti and G-10 or one side Ti and the other something else. Stick with the inlays!!! They work. Well!

Maybe add a different color of micarta to change up the look. Black, tan, green, red, denim blue.

You guys got NO imagination. Chris has already done utilitarian and military. The next step is obvious -- the FANTASY KNIFE !!!

Wait for it ...

:p

I think it will be a wharnie with a slight belly. Just enough for food prep. Styled much like a Sebbie.......a reg. Sebbie. :D

Maybe that is why the reg. is being disco'ed?

Well I can wish anyways....... I do hope they offer a large!

The cool thing about CRK is that they could put together a seriously overbuilt knife that would still look unoffensive to the vast majority of CRK fans. I'm also hoping for the wharnie/sheepsfoot design.

Lets just hope its hideous and that I wont want one...for my own safety..

Just one more day. So now the question is who here is going to be at Blade tomorrow? Needs to be someone with a good camera and the ability to upload pics on the fly. :)

I'm, waiting for this improved Sebbie too. But if it's done wrong... there'll be a price to pay. The original is pretty darn perfect.

I fear this. It would be a sad day if the design comes out wrong. I sure CRK will do great on the materials and quality.

Maybe a saber grind. Just for a change. Not has long lasting as the hollow but would be a little bit stronger. And it would look good.:D

A little birdy told me that CRK dealers (and, therefore, we at Bladeforums) should know by tonight!

Stay tuned.
