A new knife

I’m not sure, the seller didn’t tell me and I was too ignorant to ask:(
I think it's one of those Ruger branded CRKTs. Feller at the fleamarket had a mess of them laying out on the table asking $20 each. Too rich for my blood. Hope you got a good deal on it. I saw something similar on the Wish app for $8.

When you post pics of knives in any forum/thread please post the make and model of the knife. I doubt everyone on BladeForums knows what every knife, past and present is, just from a pic. I've seen many beautiful knives in various threads but have no idea of maker/model. It would be most educational for us if all would post the maker/model when you post pics of knives. I've been a knife collector/user for 70+ years, but have no idea what some of these wonderful knives are.

Thanks so much
Rich
Thinking the same thing. Glad you posted.

Well, actually, No ! I feel like brandishing the exclusive brands I crave is a bit like "rubbing it into your face". I mean, I give (usually) all relevant informations about a knife I like because it's a courtesy to the maker who delighted me with said knife. On current industrial brands I'm less talkative, because you know, they are well known industrial producing brands. So, duh ! Get your search engine started !

Didn't look very hard and yes, I don't like open knives on animals - dangerous.
But you have missed the whole point of the starting post and my replies.
I'm out. bye.

I try and always put the makers name when I post a knife but I also think when someone asks who made it it opens up conversation

As for knives on pets I agree that is rather idiotic to say the least

How exactly do you check PM’s at your membership level?
This is a new profile on a new email address since switching to Apple from Samsung. I was a gold member previously.

The confrontational nature of many of the long-term and high-post-count members here only serves to harm the hobby and push people away from this forum.

My question stands.

Interesting. Boru13 Boru13 knarfeng knarfeng I seem to recall something about someone having multiple accounts being frowned upon, can we get an IP check on aisle seven? We got a guy here who's confessing to his inability to change his email address on his old account, I'm curious who it is.

:)

Is there an issue with engaging with people and asking what they're posting*?

* and not in a passive aggressive way like ole Bob here has done in the past
Is there an issue with posting the name of a knife along-side the picture so that people can more efficiently look it up for themselves?
Not everyone has the time to do the quote-posting back and forth, or to message directly. I believe it would make picture threads a lot more enjoyable.

Not everyone who takes time to post photos for your enjoyment wants to post the name of the knife below it on every post.
When something is expected of someone else, to make the life easier of person one…this is called entitlement.

You seemed to miss it, so I'll ask again:

Also, interesting that you have time to message back and forth with me here....but don't apparently have the time to message back and forth in the EDC thread.

:)

The True North The True North

I take time to contribute and post photo’s of knives for others enjoyment. I don’t need to, nor would it sadden me not to do this. I personally don’t care if people know what knives I’ve collected or owned. I’m not on IG for a reason.

I post to share with other enthusiasts. Part of MY personal experience here is to engage with other knife collectors and users.

Sometimes I post the knife name, and sometimes I don’t. Lots of times it depends on if the posted knife is well known or obscure.
Sometimes I don’t post the name of the knife just because.
