  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Alright for all those asking, mailing address is as follows: LINE 1: LCPL WILLIAMS, LANCE, D LINE 2: 1ST MAINT BN, MAINT CO., GEM PLT. LINE 3: UNIT 42300, LINE 4: FPO AP 96427-2300. That's what I'm being told will be my mailing address. As of april or may the rank will be CPL most likely as opposed to LCPL, but that SHOULD be the only change. Again I appreciate all you support and good words.

Give us an idea of the type of stuff that would help you. Throw a few wants in there too!

This is my first deployment. I honestly don't know what would be helpful. And I'm not gonna ask for things I want out of strangers pockets. That's just not how I was raised. Hell I already told Moose which Becker model I wanted and even that was tough. He said "It's one me" and I picked one, but for me thats not easy. I worked for everything I have in my life. But it's not that I'm not grateful for the kindness of others. One thing I can say though, is that I have never read or even seen an issue of Blade magazine. So if that helps then there you go.

That is exactly how I am.

Will you be able to post once youre there? Then you might realize something you need.

Sweet! Ill wait to send anything then. Maybe you will forget something or realize you need something.

I haven't sent a care package in awhile so it will be cool sending one to someone I've had communications with.

L4ne4 Let us know if there is anything else you are needing to send... Maybe we could rendezvous supplies to send?

You guys are the best. I mean seriously, where else can you find this kind of support, comradery, and kind heartedness these days?

These guys got me through my tour. I found this forum about a month after I got there, and they kept me company the whole time! It a great place to get away from the suck.

That would be awesome. I might put a few things together but I'd really like to send stuff that he needs/wants.

Mr. Williams...I have a 7 with your name on it. I'd like to do some filework on it then send it your way. Let me know when you get on base and I"ll send it out.
Thank your for your service and stay safe!

sleepybadger, just like I told Moose, it's not necessary, and I hate to be the guy to ask for handouts, but it is MUCH appreciated. If you caught it, I posted my mailing address, and will most likely be one base as of 1 week from today (monday). I told Moose if i had to pick one, it would be the BK2, but if you already have a ;)7 seven working for me...well it would be kind of a dick move to say I don't want it ;) so yeah, if you check back a few pages, you'll find my mailing address.

I enjoyed Act of Valor. Couldn't figure out the complaints about the bad acting.

Thanks for your service, and good luck in Afghanistan. Got a few friends and colleagues over there, mostly in civvy support roles.

Ok, so, I figure, we can do a BKT care package, we'll need someone to be the "collector".

I had thought we can all send a little something along to the "collector", so he can gather everything and send it over. If ya'll don't agree, lets here it here. I don't mind being the collector, but with my jacked up work schedule, it might be better if someone else made the arrangements.

I've send about 40 or so care packages overseas, not much of an issue, but what I've found, is that printing labels makes it easier all the way around, and to double label the box, on every side. Sometimes they get "roughed" up in transit, and we don't want it getting sent somewhere wrong.

Lemme hear it.

Moose

Moose, if you are a little busy to be the collector, I can be it. Wanna do something like anybody who want to send something send it to me within the next 2 weeks and his care package will go out Apr 2?
