That sounds great to me. I'm gonna be bouncing in and out of town for the next two weeks, so, if you're volunteering, I'll take it.

Those that wanna send something across, to the litterbox, get in contact with Jarod via PM/Email, and get your stuff to him in 2 weeks or less, me thinks.

Sounds good. Beckerhead carepackage ships out on Apr 2. You can send stuff whether you are a Beckerhead or not. Anything received after package has shipped will be returned to sender.

Alright well, I'm getting on a bird today, and I'm not sure how long it will be til I can post again, so until then, this is me saying cheers. I'll check back in using this thread, but like I said not sure when. Hopefully it will be sometime this week. My wife and I are astounded by the support of all of you, and the personal offerings of Moose, sleepybadger, Col Defender and all the others who I may have missed leave me speechless. Don't worry, we will be safe, ( as in don't forget my wife is deploying too ) and we'll be sure to share any stories we might inherit.

If you're flying Air USMC, then you got about a 14hr flight ahead of you, if you are flying commercial, then, its gonna be longer.

If you are not to your permanent FOB or Camp before Apr 2, I will wait to make sure you verify your shipping address. Dont want anything to get lost and our address changed from what they told us before we left. Just let me know a verification when you get settled!

As far as I know the flight is half commercial, meaning commercial while stateside, then hopping birds at another base. Easily gonna be 18 hours.

Returning from SE Asia we stopped in Osaka, Japan; to Anchorage; to Ft. Dix, NJ (McGuire for you AF types). 24 hours from wheels up to final deplane.

Yeah, we went from Benning to Bangor, to Leipsik, Germany to Kuwait. Express!! Stopped in Ireland on the way back, that was cool!

Update. Currently at Manas air station. Next stop afghan. Yeah we went The opposite direction as most of you have posted. I may be able to get on again here. If not the next time you hear from me will be from the sandbox.

Update to all. The eagle has landed. And by eagle I mean a plane carrying our asses over here. I'm officially in the desert. And to all those asking about the mailing address, it has been confirmed as written, by other people in my unit who received mail here for them before we even landed. So yeah, I'm excited to be here and can't thank you all enough for your support. That's all for now, gotta get some rest.
