Allan Blade

I agree. Thank you Martyn for all your efforts on Joe's behalf. Roefisher, that was a very gererous bid, good on ya. Allan, it's great to see you doing what you can to get Joe paid off, keep it up. Also, thanks to sargey for all his help.

..and you too mate. It's very possible that without your persistance in this matter, Joe would be no better off.

I'm glad to see this as well.

Allan, this is a step in the right direction. keep it up.

Well, a big thanks goes out to Martyn, who impresses but doesn't surprise me, with his offering to help. That's the way he is and his site reflects this spirit.

I have to say that Allen Blade deserves a note of thanks for acknowledging this and making it possible. Now it's less than $300 to go. Another sale Allan, and you (we!) are free from this damning thread.

Good for you Joe!

Coop

And Martyn was doing so well but now that it looks like we may have had a point he locked the thread. Because too many people were complaining about Alan and their lack of received knives.:thumbdn:

What did Martin expect???

Locked the thread to keep the truth from hitting BB

Hopefully people are being allowed to complain about any problems they are having getting knives from Allan. That kind of information should not be being censored, even if the censorship is being done for the harmony of the forum.

That thread was a Customer service thread for Alan as long as he was delivering. Now that questions arise BB is what to Alan?

It may well be that the thread was closed to keep it from becoming a flame fest and that things are going on behind the scenes to help BB members find out what has happened to there knives. I sure hope that is the case.

After a good start things look to have returned to normal. They sure do lock threads quick on BB if the poster deviates from the straight and narrow.

sure do agree with the above statement......and hope allen blade isnt pulling the same stunts as before.

i hope they all get there problems with allen blade worked out, also would sure like to see joe get his money, has he gotten the proceeds from the auction on BB yet??

So, I thought I was puzlled before, let me see if I got all this:

- Precursor: Allan has ripped a bunch of people off and it's been known for ages.

- Somebody got excited on BB about Allan's knives.

- Somebody here tried to warn them about Alan but post was removed.

- BB members ordered a bunch of knives.

- Much discussion about Martyn and BB giving Alan a second chance, though the majority of BF disagreed.

- And auction was held and Joe was payed.

- BB members haven't gotten their knives and started to complain.

- Martyn has now decided that this whole thing is a bad idea and locked the thread after having promoted it.

So basically all the BB people will be coming over here to complain about Allan now. Think maybe next time somebody will listen about Allan?

Joe has only been partially paid.

I don't think that BB ever promoted Allan. It is my understanding that they just decided to give him a second chance and neither promoted nor warned about Allan. Any promotion was done by members that had received knives.

A few months ago Allan's daughter had to go into the hospital. Allan asked people that had orders with him to pay him in advance of getting their knives, and for this advance payment they would be the first to get their knives. I immediately saw that there could be a very big problem in the future. All the money from those knives that would have gone to purchasing materials to make the knives others had on order was gone. This is a real bad scenerio. It is my hope that anyone looking to purchase a knife from Allan after this happened decided to wait and see if he fulfilled his previous obligations.

Allan may still be trying everything he can to get people their knives, but it seems that he is not communicating with his customers. This, along with past events leads me to believe that the past is about to repeat itself. If it does, I don't think anyone should be surprised.

Would some of you knife collectors please send me a buncha money right now. It's urgent!

You see, I have a bone in my foot and I need the cash.

Someday, I may begin to make your knives that you ordered from me and when I do I'll be sure to put those who sent me money in advance at the top of my list. Thanks!
