Keith, you are one of the few genuine gentlemen on this forum, who's motives I believe are sincere. If I have misunderstood your comments here, then please forgive me, but I'm surprised at you putting this spin on things. You cant lay "claim" to sargey, he isnt a posession. He is a man, his name is Andy, he is English and he is a member of several forums, BB, BF, BcUK etc.

No forum can claim convenient "ownership" of members in order to bask in their glow. In the same way many of those owed knives by blade, have joined BritishBlades simply as a way of accessing Blade. They dont simply become part of "the britishblades" problem and they didnt buy their knives through BritishBlades. They are individuals who are members of many forums. BritishBlades just happens to be one of the few places they stand a chance of contacting Blade.

Martyn, I feel that your last two posts responding to posts that you find objectionable made by two Blade Forums members are ill considered and certainly not in keeping with the reasoned and measured discourse that I feel is your normal and usual manner of communication.

Further, by selecting these posts for your response you seem to be skirting the main issue and ignoring the 600 lb. gorilla sitting there beside you which started this regretable, unnecessary and far too over heated exchange between yourself and Blade Forums.

Further still, casting aspersions upon our BF moderators is not only unfair and unproductive but is also inflamatory and demands immediate attention to and comparison with British Blades and the question of your handling of the care and treatment of your 600 lb. gorilla and ignoring the advice and warnings of the very interested group who were previously afflicted with and at great length evicted after much pain and abuse that same toxic blight from their presence.

While we're at it, if you want your input to be accepted seriously here, you also need to address the question of why you expect us to take you seriously when you behave here in a manner which you would not tolerate on your on home ground.

Martyn, I admre your measured, reasoned, reasonable and responsible manner that is so apparent in your contributions on British Blades and feel certain that were we engaged in conversation, even if heated, in a social setting that I would thoroughly enjoy the experience.

But that is not the Martyn that you have presented to us here in this thread treating with the misadventures and non-performance of the miserable wretch that seems destined to blight our souls evermore.

Please lighten up and be flexible and not so defensive about this unfortunate problem. Don't be quite so thin skinned and accept that with a bit of effort and less over reaction to us and our ways this can be a very welcoming place.

I hope to see you participating with us as a frequent, valuable contributor. You have much to offer, and, who knows, you might even find something of value and some good friends here.

Wow! 7 post rant!!! I'd really like to make some tasteless joke about bad tempers and no wonder they're confiscating knives across the pond(:D) but I won't.

Suffice it to say, I don't think I'll be visiting BB anytime soon. I don't think I've ever seen anyone come unglued quite like that-imagine if Allen had stolen $$ from him:eek: Can you imagine the things he would do to poor Mr. Blade's carpet?

One of the saddest things to come out of this sorry affair is the fact that, even after this mess is cleared up (& I sincerely hope it is, soon) is that no one will really trust Allen ever again & we will have lost a talented knifemaker through his own damn fool idiocy:(
