What? No UBDOTD? Why Did I Even Get Up Today?

Sadly, it looks like poor Tsimi is in the last painful throes of succoming to a real case of HIKV. Fighting it only makes it worse.

Tomorrow the final touches of the home improvement project will be complete. Next week the UBDOTDs will be appearing on a regular basis.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

But I'm still putting my money on Mr. Murphy.

When I got the new computer McAfee was already downloaded in it with a 3 month subscription, but I'm considering getting a Norton Virus Program.
And with Blues help and advice I also have the Zonefree download.
Something I had no knowledge of at all, didn't even know something like that could be done, thanks Bro!!!!:D

Since this thread has wandered and continually came back to the topic of Tsimi and whether or not he has HIKV or Not,( Tsimi Definitely Has HIKV in spite of all his protests to the fact.:D ) I figured it would be alright to ask what virus protection is the best?

What do y'all think about the Norton Program? Is there anything better even if it costs more?

Also does it have to be updated fairly frequently, say once a week or so or is it good to go from the start with no more concerns, except having common sense and not opening attachments from someone you don't know?
I didn't even do that on WebTV and with their setup I think they're virus proof, nothing to download to in the set top boxes.

Yvsa,

Norton is a standard in the industry. PC-Cillin is another good one.

McAfee is a big name as well, but has suffered from bad customer service and some buggy software of late.

If it's running well on your machine though, and you can update it without trouble, I wouldn't necessarily look to change it.

My computer mantra is "leave well enough alone". (Learned through painful experience.)

McAfee does keep up with the latest virus definitions.

Anyway...

...Now back to our regular programming...

So what is required of moderators at subsequent 1K turnovers - like say when my stats change from 3999 to 4001?

( I didn't really leave myself that wide open did I? UH-OH..... )

I've heard it is a little like "crossing the equator" ceremonies, except they use sand instead of seawater :D

Thank you, Berk. Did you enjoy my story on the California lawyer that bought the whorehouse and then became editor of the local weekly newspaper?
