Another scammer?

I'm 14ers over there and one of my screenshots is posted by someone above. All I can say is watch out, he will be back under many different names and has friends everywhere helping him scam people. I don't come here much but heard about this and thought I would post my warning to all of you. Watch out, this guy is a total dirtbag. Remember the name Michael Sylvia when you ship and back out immediately. That is as politically correct as I can be because I want to say all kinds of bad things about this guy not proper for the forum. Take my word for it, he's a worthless piece of @#$#$%@%$^%^@%^. Use your imagination. God Bless and good luck to you all.

It does suck, because it makes it that much harder to trust anyone...

The GBU really opens your eyes to how wrong even things that seem good can go on the internet, and I am grateful we have this spot to learn from and to try our best to keep safe online.

Thanks Sharp_Canadian for giving this thread some much needed clarity.

So what is the direct evidence this Mike Sylvia of 66 Charlotte Furnace Rd W. Wareham, MA 02576 is knifehunt and these other profiles of a scammer on the other forum? Is it possible that harrishmasher is another account for knifehunt? The OP has claimed they have the same email address. What about the first incident with wolfsangel and harrismasher? What went on there? Both knifehunt and harrishmasher have done the exact same thing. Why?
 
Just one quick request for the Mods/OP;

If we could tag this thread with his name that would be great.

Both him and his buddy will find out that the water is cold, but I am sure he/they will be back.

If you are making a trade SEARCH the name, nothing on this forum gets erased.....

Maybe they are the same guy?

Lot's of maybe's but the evidence presented and the silence is hard to question at this point.

I am satisfied with everything I have heard and even more so by what I have not heard from the accused....
 
Maybe rev can check to see if knifehunt and harrishmasher are one in the same... I wouldn't be shocked in the least.

Wow. All I can say is wow. It makes me wonder about the other user Wolfsnagel mentioned. Feels kind of the same.

IPs trace to different continents. knifehunt's ip trace matches the address posted earlier in this thread. harrishmasher's IP traces to France. Maybe we have someone deliberately targeting overseas people?

As a side note, this is why we don't usually do knee-jerk bans.
 
I had one dealing with Mike Slyvia on BCUSA and it was awful. I sent him a knife in trade and never received his end. I did eventually get mine back, I was surprised to say the least. Others on BCUSA did not get their blades back. During the time I was dealing with him he was operating under other names with other forum members to apparently scam them. I can confirm his address is the same one I and other have sent blades to. BEWARE. When backed into a corner he would list all sorts of excuses for delays including illness of himself and family members. It really was quite sad.

So many crazy maybe's in this thread I just had to throw that one in there.

Fully understand no "knee-jerk" bans, nothing would ever get figured out if that was the way things where done.

At this point however, the plank for both of them seems rather appropriate....

Alot of people came out of the woodwork to thrash the OP even though he was the only one putting up any tangible proof to back up what he was saying.
Conspiracy theories, mystery hackers, and all sorts of far fetched ideas were slung out in an attempt to vilify knifehunt, when the truth was right there in front of our eyes.
Knife forums are great communities but we get hung up in our good ole boy mentality. I'm guilty of it too on other sites where I'm more active. We rush to the defense of people we've known for a while even when the evidence shows us the truth.
In the beginning of this thread I made a post that said put past feelings aside and follow the evidence.
Yep. Always follow the evidence, no matter where it takes you.

To Wolfguy, I think you are owed an apology.

Okay, I've read this entire thread. I'm sorry you all had to deal with this guy. knifehunt and harrishmasher are not the same person, at least I think. He is a hell of a con artist though so who knows. I can tell just by his wording and the way he reacted to being accused that knifehunt is Michael Sylvia. I assure you he is still here and watching these post. I'm sure he has multiple screen names and won't go away easily. I can assure you he is still on BCUSA trying to scam people. You can tell by my first post in this thread how I feel about this guy. Knowing he is still here and doing business makes me very angry and I'm not even an active member here. I just want to say, Mike, one day the way you treat people is going to catch up to you and your lack of morals and integrity will catch up to you, I promise you that. I've said it before when you tried to rip me off, but you are a real piece of work man and I hope you die a slow miserable death for the way you treat people. Ya, I feel that disgusted with this guy, I went there. I'm sorry and it's not like me to say something like that. I'm sure I'll be banned or something for that comment but it was worth it.

I haven't spoken to Mike since Sharp_Canadians post. I doubt I'll ever hear from him again. I've been so caught up in this that right now I feel like I've been punched in the gut. Wolfsnagel is certainly owed an apology from me and others. I can only say I was trying to help someone I thought I knew. Even when he wasn't willing to help himself. Sorry Wolf. Very sorry.

So he is posting from France but ships from FL with fedex ground. Sometimes he ships from Fedex air. Spends part of his time in FL and the rest in France. Check some of his adds. It could be true I guess. He also lists that he sells on another forum. Is it just a coincidence that these two members both have their last activity here 9 minutes apart yesterday after saying they are done here for good? That could be true as well.

But frankly it all stinks.

Yes. This is why you wait for facts to speak the truth. I apologize on behave of others that have condemned you from the start Wolfsnagel. Some here should really learn to stfu before they know what's happening. Some that have been on the side of and have befriended scammers before they got exposed in the past. Reality is, don't put your complete trust in anyone here. Have seen many "good" members turn out to be frauds. Anybody with sense would stop trading their expensive knives to strangers. This is a real eye opener though. Wow.
 
Usually the simplest explanation is the correct one. Crackpot theory's usually don't pan out.
