Another scammer?

I wish there is a way to help wolf get his knife back. Can wolf request it to be held at a post office? If so, could so done he designated get it and send it back, or can it be automatically returned to sender from the sort facility?

If the package hasn't been delivered, can it be halted at one of the post offices on the way?

That's something a lot of us wonder, since the package didn't originate in the US. I don't know if our post office can intercept it or not. That would be a good question for Monofletch.

Certainly Sharp_Canadian deserves credit for bring us the info on Knifehunt, but so does Wolf for calling him out in the 1st place. This certainly wasn't the ending I expected at all, but that is why these threads have to be played out. There are often twists and turns in them-but this one had some doozies.

Thanks, but no credit needed. As I was reading wolfnagels original post I was feeling bad about the language barrier he was going to have to deal with. Then saw mikes name and knew I had to say something, I wouldn't be able to sleep without.

What a crazy thread!

Man, you aren't kidding. Like I said on page 1, I just recently purchased a knife from Knifehunt and it went as smooth as any deal I've made on here. We exchanged a few messages about the knife, he agreed to an offer I made and sent the knife out the same day. The knife showed up better than described and all was fine and dandy.

I'm shocked at what is happening in this thread!

I don't think that Knifehunt is all that professional, letting his addresses get out like that. He must be a pretty confident person, to make enemies that he doesn't know. I've never heard of anybody faring well, coning members of the Russian and Ukranian communities; he's either bold or careless.

Hate to even say this, but there is another one of our members listed in that screen shot. I recognized bluemetalchurch.
Seems there were many posts listed after that screen name. I never dealt with him, but saw he's selling here.
Hate to feel we must constantly look over our shoulders here, but after reading this mess.....
Just thought I should say something.
Would it be too much to ask that Sharp Canadian to check out what the issues with him were over there??
Sorry if I over stepped.
Joe

If I remember correctly he had some major blowups in the GB&U. With scrim I think?

Edit: Yup

Scrim isn't a saint though....

Really? Back up your out-of-the-blue accusation pal. I've NEVER screwed ANYONE...or had a run in, other than verbal, with you and the other jerk this thread is about (knifehunt). -- See my feedback. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/itrader.php?u=390579

Craytab, do you work hard to be a chump or does it just come naturally? I see you constantly attacking people and injecting yourself into situations you have no reason to be involved in, other than you obviously have nothing going in your life so you keep yourself amused here by, like you just did to me again, trying to sucker punch honorable members. How you haven't been banned long ago is a mystery.

Keep this thread on topic, the personal jabs are starting to piss everyone off and if they continue people may end up regretting their comments.

This thread is crazy! Better than a ny times best seller. Sort of. I would say it's fair to assume that this guy will not be returning the knife. Scamming folks must be like an addiction I dunno. Or based on opportunity. Basically saw an opportunity to screw over someone where the odds were in his favor. Saw the same thing today on ig. I'm about to do a trade plus cash with someone from Europe. It's like watching titanic before going on your cruise. Bad idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It got me thinking though. Scammers on ig, fb, etc get their picture and address plastered everywhere but the lack of rep plays in their favor. While the forums are highly based on rep but you never get to see the person so they can change their identity and hide behind a computer. Maybe the best of both worlds would work to weed out the bad eggs. Bitter sweet really. A liar was outed at the expense of someone getting screwed. Also for better or worse all of the speculation and whatever that went on in the beginning potentially got it to this conclusion. Sorry you had to go through it op. Best of luck to you buddy [emoji106]

I just wanted to apologize to Wolfsnagel for accusing him of being confused/crazy.

I was suspicious of Knifehunt, and now it looks like a lot of us were duped by this scammer.

Sad as I used to be active on the other forum. Must be a sign I should pop in more often!

Hello, people. BIG thanks for disclosure a scammer. Special thanks to moderators for help. And extra thanks to SHARP_CANADIAN for his help.

I noticed that also, and remembered him being active on the exchange but who knows. Don't want to libel somebody, it is an oddly specific name though....

If this guy is scamming as many people as it looks like why hasn't law enforcement or the Post Master been involved yet? Everyone has the guys physical address and it doesn't seem like Mail Fraud would be that big of a leap..

Agreed a call to his local police department or sheriff should be a minimum.

I bought a knife from BMC a few months back. I paid then it was a few days, think he gave some story about a dental procedure. I asked him to refund my money, he did. Later he offered to sell same knife at $15 cheaper for the inconvenience, I paid again (probably should have walked).
It was the most nerve racking transaction I had on BF (all others went perfect). In the end I got the knife but made a note not to deal with BMC.

Well, I just received a nasty email from a member, and this was my response:

Did I scam you? NO. I sent your knife back because you never received the ones I sent to you (so you say) but I can't prove it. As for 14er's he sent me two knives that he said were new, and they were not, and they were sent back as well. Tech never even made a trade with me, and any pics I sent were knives I owned. The other two guys I don't even remember who they were that said they didn't receive the knives I sent jumped on the band wagon. For people to come on and say I'm a scammer, and have scammed a dozen or more people is a bunch of bull. All the people that responded were never scammed by me, and the knife was returned because it was NOT as described.

Everyone jumps on the bandwagon and it turns into a witch hunt. As far as the guy on bladeforums, I never received anything from him, and the tracking proves it. If and when it arrived it will go back. I'm absolutely done doing any online trading on any knife forums.

Yes, The Strider will go back when and if it shows.

And for the record... I do have many health issues, and have the documentation to prove such.

For people to say I'm some big time scammer, and have scammed a dozen or more people, is pure bull. Just because I made a few deals, and the knives were not as described, and sent back does not make me a scammer. Anyone who has dealt with me has received better then described items, and has received them.

Again, If and when the Strider shows, it will be going back and wolfsnagle will be notified via email.

I am done trading selling or buying any more knives online. This is my final post on BF and I will not respond anymore to this thread.

QUESTION FOR THE MODS (or anyone who'd know)
Prefaced by the fact that I haven't yet and may never make a trade here:

Can a sticky list be made of all the mailing addresses/postal codes/etc. that have been used by scumbags to scam people here?
I know that I could get banned from the site just for my words and never be able to sign up again based on my IP address; how about making a list that members should think twice about shipping to, so people aren't actually hurt?
Words are one thing, stealing another person's money is quite a different ballgame, and it really pisses me off.

In only a few week's time, there are already two people/addresses that could be on the list.
Heck, I just read a thread about a dealer who is still scamming people after not delivering goods for up to two years (while maintaining communications/excuses).

I'd even further your idea by having a cross forum list that allows people to see scammers names who have been caught else where.

All you need to do is run their screen name through a search here in the gdu and any negative threads will come up. Everyone should be doing this before entering into any transaction with anyone. It is one of the most basic ways to protect yourself.
