To moderators:
If it need - I can give my Skype and through Demostration of Display show you letters between me and deerslayer196105.

That was a very quick reply, wolfsnagle.
If you follow my directions, it could make a big difference to the members who are not believing your story.

Sent an e mail to Knifehunt asking him to come back and attempt to clear this up. No response yet.
Joe

Knifehunt doesn't want to participate, not the proper reaction from someone who has their integrity questioned. So logout be gone knifehunt and to wolfsnagel sorry for the loss of your knife. This is the risks you take shipping overseas I'm afraid.Hopefully, if it shows up at knifehunts home address it will be returned to you.

? to those in the know-can the sender have international shipments intercepted in the same way you can with domestic. If so, the OP may want to take advantage of that.

Just to clarify a point i have seen raised about knifehunt's grammar, I would propose that the grammar error we are seeing on Wolf's screenshots are merely an artifact of Google Translate. Most likely scenario is that these emails are written in each party's native language and then translated by google.

The syntax in the emails attributed to knifehunt is highly suspicious. Then again, there has been no explanation offered as to how OP would have gotten knifehunt's information, or what he would have to gain by perpetrating a bizarre fictitious transaction with someone with whom he'd actually had no communication. This is the weirdest GBU thread I've seen in a long time - and that's saying something.

This is a strange case indeed. It could be the result of drinking and trading; who knows. I know that my judgement starts to be off, after a few quick drinks, and I sometimes make promises that I normally would not want to keep.

Wow...it's so easy to grab an email off the list and then claim you're someone on the forum. If you never sent a PM to the person then you're just dealing with a random person. All you would have to do is look up a sellers email on the profile and send them an email stating that you are "insert BF user name" and basically frame another member. Make 100% sure the person you're dealing with is the correct person.

Assuming Knifehunt keeps his word and does not return, I see only one resolution which would satisfy the OP...

Wolfsnagel needs to cross his fingers and his toes that his SNG ends up delivered to Knifehunt's address so that Knifehunt can send it back to him. Barring that, I'm not sure there's much for anyone to do.

Let's pretend Knifehunt did send Wolfsnagel a trade in return (all signs indicate he did not). It would be Knifehunt that would now be out the SNG in this situation since 8 weeks have passed and the knife still has not been delivered. That would be an even bigger mess.... Knifehunt would be demanding that Wolfsnagel return his Medford or whatever.

Under both the current scenario and the pretend scenario above, it's Wolfsnagel that's basically screwed unless his SNG ends up showing as delivered.

As a side note, someone has been recently trying to use my login here and failing to gain access to my account. I keep getting emails after 5 failed login attempts... Just the nature of the world we live in unfortunately.

There are other personal details in knifehunt's emails to wolf that he has also conveyed to me. Very hard to make those up that accurately.

Michael - You have been a wonderful guy to deal with here. Can you please clear this up?

If someone had unauthorized access to my email account, they would easily know all of my personal details.

Agreed... But to what end? I don't see how he stands to gain anything in this process. Am I missing a monetary gain?

Yes - once someone gains unauthorized access to your email, he/she can get lots of your personal information. But what is strange here is: why would that person then ship a valuable knife to your address?

If that was the case, why the sudden disappearance.

I believe in the benefit of the doubt but I'm struggling to understand why knifehunt has chosen to take the course of action he has.

The only explanation I can think of would be that's why the person writing the emails then changed his mind after Wolfsnagel shipped it.
