Another scammer?

I am really surprised at the road Knifehunt chose. Guess we're stuck with what we have here.
Kudos to Wolf for sticking with this and showing his proof, sure I'm not alone thinking he was the problem. I don't believe that anymore. He sounds like a stand up guy that got caught, somehow, in a mess.
Hoping he comes out whole.
Joe

Maybe Knifehunt sent the package and it was stolen by someone in the mail service in Russia? Or at the customs? That happens a lot

Mike forwarded me this email a few minutes ago. He said that he received one just like it a few months ago and (unfortunately) entered his information into the spoof website. He asked that I share it since he's not quite tech savvy enough to capture a screen shot etc.

The "Verify Now" link goes here:

I replied to Mike and told him to change his password immediately if he has ever clicked on that link since it's obviously a phishing email.

Additionally, Mike said:

A few months ago I received an email from someone asking if I would be interested in trading for that damn Strider. It was not Wolfsnagle though and I do not know who it was as I had deleted those emails. I declined as I did not know the person and they did not give their BF username, if they are a member. I recognized that Strider immediately as it's an oddball. Same pic as Wolfsnagle posted. I'm wondering if Wolfsnagle has two different accounts on BF? He may be sending me a package with nothing in it and want money, that is the only thing I can come up with.

This person is an absolute lunatic! What Medford??? I don't even own a Medford, and never have. I'm done responding to this absurd, and mentally challenged creep. If my name is not removed, and this jerk banned by the time I wake up tomorrow morning, I'm done here as well. I'm not even giving till Friday. I will log out tomorrow morning, and never return. I am not going to put up with this nonsense, over, and out! The clock has now started. Bladeforums has till 6:00 am tomorrow morning to remove this, or I'm done here! You decide who you want to stick around.

P.S. If a package does arrive from this JERK, I will be sending it back! Now, I'm pissed. Good Night!

What keeps sticking out in my mind is the demands Knifehunt made. They are completely unreasonable. He has requested that any record of his involvement in this thread be deleted. Posts don't just get deleted or disappeared unless they are truly spam or crapping in a sales thread. Stuff does get moved but not deleted like he wants. He's been here long enough and participated in the GB&U enough to know this fact. He is also not supporting any of his claims. I got to say, those two facts are suspicious and illogical for an upstanding person.

There really is nothing else we can do here but wait.

Personally, I've been around here long enough see that the current GBU mods are and have been incredibly fair, fact based and as impartial as humanly possible when confronted by conflicting facts and confusing versions of events. Anyone who's been around here for any length of time should have already seen that, know it to be true and be capable of trusting it for at least a little while. Between the mods and the other members - truth will out. Might take some time for the fact sifting and sorting to play itself out but play out it most definitely will. Knowing that to be the case, why become intractably indignant and very quickly escalate the confusion and potential damage to to your rep here by essentially telling the mods and your fellow members that THEY are part of the problem too and not allies in search of a solution or potential resolution. Nose, meet Mr. Knife . . . take THAT face! Yikes and wow.

Here is Mike's actual email in it's entirety. He did not give permission for me to share this, so if he requests it will be removed:

My issue with the screenshot that I saw of the "It looks like someone else is using your account" email is that the to is not to him, it is to noreply@outlook.com and the email itself looks like it is fake... look at where it says microsoft in the subject... the I is capitalized.

The email itself is fake. That's the point. It's a phishing email that was sent to Mike. He forwarded it to me. The reason it doesn't say "To: deerslayer....." is that a BCC wouldn't show the "To:" addresses. That email probably was sent to 1000 hotmail email addresses all at once.

I'm building a simple chain of logic - I sent a package with Strider to deerslayer196105, knifehunt tell that I used his address, then a package must will arrive to him. If this is a misunderstanding - let he send Strider back to me, what`s a problem? But time for shipping "hither and thither" is so long? Suppose, for delivery to the US need 2-3 weeks, ok. But knifehunt told "If a package does arrive from this JERK, I will be sending it back!" I.e. the package not arrived to him in a present days? I do not believe that such term is not enough for received.

Unfortunately if you don't have proof of delivery your just speculating. You can't assume he got your package, especially since tracking does not confirm delivery.

In post # 124, the supposed Microsoft warning,
notice the header has a highlighted address:
elgorila.com.pe/

.pe is the country code for Peru.
By the woman's picture, under Verify:
Endeavor not to input the wrong combination

Not what I would expect Microsoft to send,
from another country, with clumsy phrasing.
Yes, phishing.

Again a Hacker steals his email account, pretends to be him and gets a knife send to him?
What Hacker would do this and why?
Who doesn't wish some people would hack their account and send them knives ?

More likely but still sounding weird is that Wolfnagel did the fishing to get Knifehunts account. From there Wolfnagel pretends a legit transaction but never sends anything real to Knifehunt. Now Knifehunt is on the hook to provide his end of the bargain which he never made.
Not likely since its way too much effort and nothing prevents Knifehunt from ignoring the whole thing and wolfnagel has no way to sue him from his country.
The only two explanations I see don't make much sense of course assuming that Knifehunt isn't lying or we are missing some major information.

Well I just decided to take a look through Wolfsnagel's post history. It looks to me like every single one of his posts is a copy/paste job of a previous post offering to trade the same knives over and over indiscriminately. I call that spam. Please see this link:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=11920841&pp=&page=7

My guess is that most of the members Wolfsnagle has contacted have had the good sense to tell him "No thanks" and move along. Lucky for them, they didn't send him anything. If they had sent him something and received a knife in return, Wolfsnagle would have some positive feedback by now. For all those offers, nobody has done any business with Wolfsnagle. If they had sent him something and received nothing in return, Wolfsnagle would have been exposed by now as a scammer for sending nothing, like he's done with Mike. Sure, maybe he shipped a padded envelope somewhere so there's a tracking number. But it's no surprise that it hasn't arrived to Mike. Because Mike declined Wolfsnagle's offer at the last minute, Wolfsnagle now has a bone to pick with Mike since Wolfsnagle's already gone through the trouble of creating this "shipping evidence". Hence this thread. And the last one.

There's no "hacker".......

That would be way too much work for a fairly common Strider, why not something far more expensive?
It's shipping to what address again?! Exactly.

Much easier to just trade someone something, change your mind about it (or never plan to complete your end) and then hope because that someone has had "issues" here before, they will be questioned and not taken all that seriously.

Not participating when accused?
Threatening to leave if your accuser is not immediately banned?

These don't add up to the actions of somone who had their account hacked and then used to complete a trade.....

He'll need to explain that, but with his english, he seems to be mixing a few things up...

What I find really interesting is that both those guys threatened to quit over this if the OP wasn't banned........

It also appears I was wrong in that almost all evidence from that claim have been moved to a place we can't see them. It would be nice to see what else went down with that situation. It sure doesn't look good for wolfsangel to be accusing two upstanding members of scamming him with the same email address.

This is just getting more strange.
