Primble that is one nice knife!! What is the pattern number on it?

21419 on the clip blade. If it were someone else's knife, I might say if was a 2269 parts knife. Since it is mine, I would absolutely say a L.B.K., from an employee that visualized the benefit of a spear and clip in one knife. :D:D:D

It is a fantastic old knife, at any rate, and I am proud to have it. ;):)

Thanks for shining up my beauty, Primble! Send her along home now... its nappy nap time in my pocket:D

Just a beautiful bunch of Cattaraugus knives. I've been on the lookout for a Catt folder for some time but as of yet have not been able to get my hands on one. After clicking through this thread I have a renewed passion for these very cool knives.

I hope it's ok to post a Catt fixed blade. It's an old 2250 quartermaster. The ole girl has seen better days but she's still solid and quite sharp.

Lots of character in that ole Catt fixed blade!!;)

Thanks Chris! :)

This picture hung in the old Cattaraugus factory from the early 1920's till they closed their doors. The young man in the center of the picture is Tint Champlin. I have the names of the 2 other boys but need to dig the info out.

The other picture is of the back of an invoice showing one way that they used the image.

That is a nice piece of history galvanic, you are fortunate to own it.

The boy on the left is Tom Sawyer and the boy on the right is Primble.

Thanks for sharing

Mike - wow, what a treasure! In addition to the cool historical significance, it's also a very lovely painting. Thanks for sharing it and the invoice with us.

That was one of the really neat things about the Catts - Champlain family at the helm throughout the history of the company, according to my books. :)
