This picture hung in the old Cattaraugus factory from the early 1920's till they closed their doors. The young man in the center of the picture is Tint Champlin. I have the names of the 2 other boys but need to dig the info out.

The other picture is of the back of an invoice showing one way that they used the image.

Mike, that is the coolest picture I've ever seen,,,,period! That would be proudly hanging in my house!:cool::cool:

Wow Barry, those are fantastic. I have seen some of them in person but having the group together like that is way cool!!!

Thanks Mike. The little one is a Peanut & the big one is a trapper.

Primble, my friend, I do believe that you've hit the Barlow jackpot. You've posted some of the finest examples that I ever seen today, including this one. Outstanding!

Lost and found Catt :

Model 22156 and 3 & 1/8 inches closed.

Markesharp mailed me this nice little Ebony Cattaraugus Wharncliffe Pen two and a half weeks ago, via first class mail. It finally showed up this morning.

We both believed it was lost for a while.

Thank you Mark. 👍👍:)

Really like that jumbo whittler. Love the exaggerated choil. Length? Would like to see a modern rendition of that with ebony covers.

Jamie, Thanks. The knife is 3 1/2" closed. If you notice in the group shot post #259 all the Catt whittlers have that deep choil on the pocket blade. BTW...This is the knife A.G.Russell copied for the Knife Collectors Club back in 1989. Barry

Some great knives and information in this tread. So many people who know their history.:thumbup:
