Picked up these 2 not long ago. The little one is marked CCC and the larger one has Little Valley in a curve, first time I have seen that on a Catt.

I am likin' both of those - would love to see a close up pic of the curved tang. ;):D

galvanic, I hope you don't mind me blowing up your photo. Those tang stamps must be seen!

Thank you Al. That C.c.c. bolstered Catt is mighty fine. Good to see some Catts showing up again.:thumbup::)

Thanks, Gevonovich! Thanks, Primble!... and thanks again for starting this thread and thanks to all who contribute. It is quite the reference!

Great knives, I love that barlow. Thanks Al for blowing up the picture so the tang stamps can be seen. Primble I never get tired of seeing that display of yours!!

A friend of mine just looked over the tang stamp on the larger knife and there is another difference in the tang stamp. The name Cattaraugus is missing the first "U" in the name! I have only seen this on one other Cattaraugus knife. It's a switchblade that was made by Flylock. Shows how much I was focused on the curve in the Little Valley that I missed that!

Ok, I'm on a roll so I thought I would post some more Catt's. The EO has a pattern number 2039A, I think the A stands for Aluminum??

The Pearl jack was one of the Pan Am knives and some consider it's one of the best of them because it was not cleaned and still has the Salesman's ink on the back of the main blade. It's 3 3/4" closed with a heavy frame. Shown with an original Cattaraugus stock certificate.

These last 2 are not knives but really cool Catt stuff, a Want list card that I think was given to customers an empty bottle of Cutler's ink for Salesman can use to mark the pattern numbers on the blades.

Ha! I missed it, too. That's pretty interesting about the spelling. I'll be checking for that! Makes you wonder how many knives went out the door before someone caught the spelling error. And who discovered it first... and did the person responsible catch a lot of flack... and did competitors take note and give Cattaraugus any flack :D

Thanks for pointing that out.
