They're also advertising it as a tapered tang on the website, is that really case? I've noticed they've been doing away with that and sadly none of my winklers have a tapered tang.Slicey, IMHO.

I'm not a hunter but the Blue Ridge Hunter is the sliciest winkler I've gotten out the box by far which I imagine is pretty desirable for a hunter. It slices ups teaks pretty nice either way. Had I gone with maple handles rather than micarta it would definitely be my favorite knife.What’s your guys favorite for a dedicated hunting knife? Huntsman or BRH I assume?
