Anyone else looking forward to the GEC #83?

So far I have these four with three more en-route. So many knives, so little time

One in each pocket and you have room for one more. Then a few on your belt. I got it, a bandoleer around your chest ...oh man...I need one:D

LOL Gevo! :D

I could be a Garet Trooper - "I got a hip knife, a side knife, a boot knife, a shorter knife And a little bitty one that’s a combination of flare gun, dinner, and genuine police whistle" - Barry Sadler

I have this one and three more on the way. I just have fallen head over heels for this pattern. Another thing I love about it is how much blade is able to be crammed into the small handle. Here it is next to some of my other favorites for comparison. The lightest of the bunch as well! Excellent!

ps. you cut one lime! love it.

So, I bought one of the Autumn Leaf Jig Bone Northfields at the Rendezvous. Absolutely stunning knife, awesome jigging, but a little tight and just the slightest up and down play (just perceptible). I sold it because I saw that they were making them in yellow rose, and I LOVE GEC's smooth yellow bone (still want to get a spey TC in it). I got mine in a drop point, and it is perfect. Nice smooth pull, no play in any direction (I'm talking fort Knox here), no gaps, perfect centering, not close to proud (something I often have a problem with), and even sharpened well all the way to the tip.

This is just an exquisite knife. GEC is improving, and we are all in a great time for pocket knives.

I just wish I could buy more!

Anyone know if they are making specific runs with the clip point vs drop point? The lines on these knives are reminiscent of Remington bullets and Jess Horn folders.

Two runs with identical covers. The drop points are finished and the clip point run is trickling to dealers.

Thanks Markesharp. I got in on the second run, which I'm glad I did. I prefer the clip over the drop point, even though the drop point was calling me.

You are most welcome Steve. I like both blades, but I would have to say the drop point is my favorite.

My first of three Natural stags came in today, waiting for another drop point and a clip point. On another note I think Michigan is going to have a cold hard Winter by the size of the Acorns and Hickory nuts that are dropping from my trees.

Mark, that is one nice stag :thumbup:and some GIANT acorns.
I just located a NF Autumn leaf with the drop point so I'm thrilled I'll be seeing that soon.:D
We've noticed a good crop of black walnuts around here so you may be right about Michigan's winter.:D:)

Thank you redsparrow! Congrats on your Autumn leaf, I think GEC did a great job on the color and jigging!:D

Mark, these 83's are spectacular as you know. I'd like to see a pic of all those that you have assembled.
