Anyone go on a knife binge lately?

Well, seeing as how I swore abstinence at the end of 2017...kind of a binge.
I’ve been holding back full blown recidivism by the skin of my teeth...only one knife per month this year. Barely.

January: Spyderco Hungarian
February: Massdrop Gent
March: Large Thuya Sebenza
April—I really tried to hold back this month...but 5 minutes ago I bought a Spydiechef.

I haven’t even gotten around to ZT yet this year (but I will, and possibly hard). I’ve been holding back on ZT for months.

If one per month for four months is a binge, then I'm with you. If you haven't decided about a ZT yet, I can highly recommend the 0609.

My year so far:
January: Spyderco Chaparral CF/G-10
February: SpydieChef
March: Factor Iconic Carbon Fiber Compact
April: ZT 0609
May: Massdrop Ferrum Forge Gent (expected)

I went a year or two without a new knife then purchased a ti carbon millie followed by two PM2 M4 cfs. All within 6 weeks.

No doubt a binge.

Slowed down recently but have a ZT0609 on the way and joined the Terzuola Drop. Caught and released a BM 551-1 2 weeks ago.

Oh, the 0609 is a given—already counting on that one. The hard part will be resisting the 0452, 0462, and the 0393.

This dispicable disaster is about 6 weeks ,
still a couple in the mail and a couple I forgot

I did some math yesterday and realized that I have 5 knives on pre-order:
Southard Mini Tolk
Caston/Costa AbOhlone
Massdrop/Tashi Prism
Massdrop/Terzuola
Massdrop/Spyderco SG2 Delica

And I picked up a We Eschaton, a Mnandi, and the new Spyderco Lum Chinese in HAP40 in the last couple weeks.

On the bright side I managed to sell a couple other knives I had lying around...

If I'm being completely honest...in addition to the pile of Carothers there's also been a Paragon Phoenix, Heretic Hydra, Cold Steel Desperado, and just yesterday a Camillus Aftermath:oops:. Oh, and a Trailmaster Bowie and BRK Grizzly that came and went;).

Let's see... I'm a total newbie, but in the last two weeks I've purchased...

Zero Tolerance 0450 — NEW
Benchmade 940-1501 — NEW
Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Camo — Used (BladeForums)
Chris Reeve Sebenza 21 Plain Jane Insingo — Used (BladeForums)

I loved the last one so much that the moment it arrived I ordered a brand new one. (The new one should arrive tomorrow; the used one I'll likely place on the sale forum next week or use it to practice sharpening.)

I also bought a bunch of maintenance supplies — torx wrench sets, lubes and oils, etc — on Amazon, and I plan to pick up a new KME Deluxe System in the next week or so.

Regards,
Chris

PS. I've been restoring, honing, and shaving with straight razors for 10+ years, but this is my first journey into EDC/pocket knives. Wish me luck! ;)

Jumping in with both feet! Great choices, all of them.
Welcome to BF!
