Good for you. I would imagine if want a "knife" just to practice mods on, like one of these Bad Bloods, you can get one for less than their price.

I didn't want it to practice on. Again, don't put words in my mouth. I customized it to my preference and liking. Your argument is a fail.

Higher end knife modification threads
Here is a thread ALL ABOUT MODS, LOL and the wanky spanking that ensues over the mods

Acid or stone washing a blade is hardly done for need. It is done for aesthetics.

And again, I don't see why you need to resort to calling the people in those threads names or accuse them of "wany spanking" whatever that is supposed to mean/imply.

That thread is 36 pages long of regrinds, re-profiling, and any other mod you can think of, you pick one post out of 36 pages about stone washing, LOL

Wanky-spanking = Fawning or swooning over, drooling etc. Capiche?

You were forced to change the knife because it didn't function the way you liked. You didn't acid wash the blade or change the scale color.

No doubt the time you spent was worth at least $20.

I'm glad you feel you got your $20 worth out of the knife, but to me the numbers don't add up.

If this ultra classy review is proof positive !

This is one of my favorite flippers . Don't carry it , but I keep it on my desk or nightstand just to play with . :)

Well, I guess it is a good knife to not use and just keep on a nightstand.

Again, you can get one of those at a lesser price, in my opinion.

I was not "forced" to mod this knife. Get over it.

I had hoped this could be a fun thread . But for some I guess tearing apart critiques are their fun ?

I noticed this sale at a sponsor site and wanted to share a brand that I think is different and fun to try out their "designer" line .

I wasn't advocating these as some uber survival knife to stake your life on or to replace your favorite EDC .

Sure thing.

Atrocious how? Mine flips open smooth and easy, blade grind is perfect and sharp, centering is perfect, besides re-profiling the spine of the blade (which reduced the overall width and a tiny bit of weight), I also reduced the size of the flipper tab, it was way big for what is needed to flip it open. I also rounded the edges of the G-10 scales, which made the ergos in the hand much improved. The scale edges were very angular on it from the factory.

No one is made to mod a knife but the question is how likely were you to keep it before modding it and how likely were you to use it before modding it? The greater impact the knifes factory setup has on those two is what to me counts as required modification.

Nobody said you did.

You did claim they were a great value and others, including myself, are claiming they are not. Sorry.

I still think they are a great value , for my purposes . But YMMV as always . Much of what I value in these knives are just the unusual design elements . Highly subjective . Tastes differ thats why there exist so many choices . These are at least cheap to try . I'm way beyond needing another knife just for pure function .

Very likely, I don't sell knives, guns or ammo that I bought, as a rule. Again, it was a preference not a necessity. Same with many of the guns I own. I have seen people modify a brand new functional Ruger 10-22 with $1000 in modifications to "customize" it to their preference. Same thing with knives. In addition, there are people here who need to modify a $1000 Medford because it is unusable out of the box.

Then it's not a high quality knife, and nobody is "wanking" over the mods.

Still not seeing the hypocrisy, but clearly you are seeing it, as well as $20 value in a knife that without mods is relegated to the nightstand to play with.

As far as knife mods , I see you guys raving and drooling when some high end knife gets mods . Nobody uses the logic that if you want to mod then the original must be junk . What a bunch of double standard hypocrites !
I also agree with DocJ on the hypocritical statements, LOL. What a joke.

You both said I'm a hypocrite, you panoz including the insult I am a "joke". Where is my raving and drooling?

The point here is it is a $20 knife. Mod it or do whatever you want. Doesn't change what it is. Cheap Chinese import where there are better values to be had out there.

I've had one. Don't try to sell people on it being a $50 knife (because if it were people would have bought it at $50).

Plenty of these knives have sold and still sell at the higher prices . They are not new releases .

I don't recall naming anyone personally ? But if the shoe fits .;)

I'm not really trying to sell anybody anything . Just sharing ! More for me if you don't buy . No skin off me .:p:thumbsup:

"I see you guys....". You said that. Which "you guys" are you talking about? A assumed it was me at least, you know, because we are in this discussion together.

If the shoe fits prove it so we can discuss what it is you are talking about.....or don't make the accusation.

If I'm accused of raving and drooling you had better have evidence.

I think some members just like to swoop-in and try to worry at a person just to invite a response that will lock the tread . Seems I've seen this before ? Sorry but I'm just too full of the loving spirit of Xmas .:)

:eek:You took that ALL wrong . I meant that members "rave and drool " over mods in a positive and approving way , when they like the knife brand . But if they don't like the knife , then the mod proves a fault . You're getting all riled up over nothing . Not everything is about you , sir .
