Good for you. Make good on your promises, and become a respectful young adult. If you are headed down the wrong path in life and need some help turning yourself around let me know I would be glad to spend some time with you. There are a number of ways you can give back to your community, it will make you feel like a better person inside and help you to become a productive member of society... Trust me. We all take the wrong road now and then, the decission to turn around and find the right one is very honorable.

Keep your head up, make good on your promises, and learn from this.

gnw, shame on you. Go get a job and earn the money to buy the knives you want. Stop ripping people off.

Jeff (and anyone else this kid has ripped off), hopefully your stuff will soon be on its way back to you!

the gimp Holy crap!! I was not expecting this outcome.

good job Jeff!!

Hey Mike, thanks! I see your up from 3rd, I'll be calling you later today.

A fitting conclusion to a sad situation. It's good to see people man up and take responsibility for their actions. I hope the best to all of you. It's been one Hell of a read.

Good ride, Jeff!
You executed this with perfect finesse. I will be glad to hear when your blades are back home safe.

I still want to know was it his intention to rip people off? Is this what Jeff S1 found out that indeed he was just stealing from anyone trusting enough to send him things?

Jeff, glad to see everything is better for you and for the rest that this kid ripped off. But there will always be that uncertainty lingering in the minds of those that were wronged. Im glad in this instance you were able to rectify what happened, but this kid should still pay a price for his wrong doing, a slap on the wrist is not enough. Sometimes when the fear of punishment is stronger than the actual reprimand, kids tend to blow it off and they hone their skills and learn how to better con someone. But Im glad things went well for your. I hope his grandmother kicks his ass!

I just sent Garrett a pretty rare Scrap Yard knife...if he ripped me off I might have a buddy in Hillsdale pay him a visit as I still have his address, and my friend is a no BS kind of guy. We will have to talk...

Thanks to everyone who banded together with me on correcting this situation. I dealt with it the best I could. I am hopeful my actions saved any further or prolonged grief, for other forum members caught in this mess. When my knives ger back to me I will advise everyone of same.
This could have gone in many different directions, and I am happy so far with the outcome, but we need to make sure everyone is made whole again.

His grandmother seemed like a good solid person who should take care of what needs to be done on her end.
She was really horrified at what had happened.

Kirko, an e-mail and package headed your way!:D

Wow! It is great to see everyone here banding together. I am a relative newbie in terms of online trading and purchasing but it makes me feel a lot more confident to see this. And I agree on the Membership upgrade I will be upgrading to a paid membership too as a result of this. Gotta support any community that is capable of this.

+1

I am very impressed by the way this whole issue was handled by everybody especially the OP. Thats wy love this forum. gnw1209 I did some dumb stuff too when I was a kid, well alot of dumb stuff. I paid along time for that "stuff" don't go down the wrong path buddy, cause the folks there will eat you alive.

I hope you smarten up ASAP before you become a little mall punk. From the looks of the houses in your neighborhood, you ain't livin in no shack and should have gotten all the knives in your collection the correct way; earn them stupid!!!!!

Just maybe this is a life experience that you never want to duplicate because the next time you use a forum and the Post Office to scam again, someone will google up your name and hopefully NOT cut you any slack and run to local LE and the Postal Inspectors and hammer you into juvie!!

Call me heartless but if this community did not track Garrett down he would have never come clean.......................nope

Good going Garrett!

For what, getting caught and then coming clean?

Nah, the attaboys go to you guys who hunted this little pissant down and forced him into "good going".

Think he would have come clean if no heat was applied, I don't.

Sorry, I am a cynic......

Just an FYI: Any fraudulent deals made across state lines are the jurisdiction of the FBI, not the local PD. I called the feds in on a guy in Florida earlier this year and he's been put out of commission.
