Balls_tothe_Walls (Heath Helton) is a scammer

Indeed, I can see how this is definitely very fishy. I will definitely be sure to keep you up to date on any pertinent information, should Heath provide it to me.

Please do- I am not against hearing evidence to support his innocence..Nobody is. The evidence thus far doesn't support his innocence in this case.

Lance Leon .....it is as if, you havent read all the previous pages in the thread, if you'll permit me to say so.

Well, he's in the process of making it right to me; he's sent me the knife I was owed, and will be sending me the cash I lost from the paypal chargeback soon. He's received death threats directed at him and his family, which is apparently why he's cut contact and disabled some social media and gotten in contact with legal entities to resolve the issue properly and safely (which is likely part of the reason the return payment have been delayed). His move to Texas cannot have been the result of a plan to evade the law, else he would not have willingly given that address to people.

I think we should withhold judgement for now. Personally, I'm going to give him a chance to pay back those who received paypal chargebacks before judging him. We'd all do well to be cautious, of course, but as far as I can tell there are many people who have been repaid or had their knives returned. Those who haven't received compensation may want to be patient, I think there's a good chance his legal advisers told him not to do anything until for now.

Maybe he is a scammer, maybe not; I have no hard evidence, but in my eye's he's innocent until proven guilty, and there seems to be a significant amount of people on both sides, so there's no reason to go making assumptions. Just imagine how this would affect someone in the event that it's all just a horrible coincidence.

Quoted for posterity.

Victim of circumstances? Incredibly inept fool? I guess it’s all possible.
I never could understand why a scammer would present his family and their address on public media, making them an easy target for serious revenge seekers, willing to act outside of the law.
Then there is husband and wife not noticing that $20,000.00 was falsely charged on their credit card. Which is the amount Heath stated on Reddit.
The lack of communication with our members who lost money, was also a form of damning evidence against him.
Him now having a team of legal advisors, also seems a bit far fetched, for someone trying to resolve the actions of a small time con man.
In spite of all that, I’m sure that he could redeem himself with everyone, if he made a sincere effort at restitution, and gave an honest explanation.

Another thing interesting about those coming forward to say he is making them whole (the guys he has a long established business with).

You don't see those guys telling Heath "I trust you, you can wait to make me whole, take care of those other guys first (the ones supposedly making death threats)".
Hey, he hasn't sent me the cash from the paypal chargebacks either. I'm just getting the knife I was promised long ago. Besides, the onus is not on me to decide who get their money back first. That is up to Heath and whatever the bank he's working with allows; we know there are others who have gotten their cash back already; I haven't.

I doubt this guy is to this level, but scammers will use anything they can to gain an edge including using the wife and kid. If they don't have any they will rent or borrow some.

it was not stolen, this was a knife being offered by him many months ago before anything happened. And as someone else said earlier, there's an internet trail. I'd ask you to refrain from calling me naive before you know the full story.

I read the full story, all 16 pages of it. If it looks like a duck it is a duck!

He owed you a knife you were promised long ago? Why did he owe you a knife?

Oh wait... You answered this in an earlier post:

"On topof that, he's sending me a custom knife, for no other reason than that we've built a goodbusiness relationship."

Instead of paying you the money he owes you from the PayPal chargeback,, he is giving you a knife for no other reason than your long business relationship with him.

Hilarious, even his defenders can't keep their stories straight.

Never happened to me neither. Shame,

I would suggest emailing PayPal with the conversation that took place regarding the purchase as well as the tracking info showing it was delivered. Also if you have any pictures taken of the package during packaging and drop of to the post office/mailbox.

Also why wait 2 months later??????

Anyone that continues to defend this turd, trade with him or send him money after reading this hasn't been paying attention.
He lied to Paypal about fraudulent charges. He lied to his bank about fraudulent charges. What makes anyone believe he isn't going to, get this...it's a surprise...LIE AGAIN? He isn't going to fix anything he doesn't have to..sure, he will do the bare minimum to help a few believe he is working on making everyone whole..
Here is another surprise..he is setting you up for another epic take.

Do me a favor before you post in this thread about how he is trying to make this right. Total up all the people that are still out money and time dealing with this steaming pile of crap..divide it by the people that have been made whole and then tell me the answer to this seemingly difficult math equation.
If the end result is a fraction of anything less than 1/1, it's a FAILURE. His word means less than the fractional answer you will come up with.

Real Talk right here 100% agree.

If he was trying to make people whole he would've told his bank "X charges and Y charges were done by me". The fact that the bank is taking money from people at this point ia because he told them "X charges and Y charges were fraudulent".

Leon, why you shillin for him?

This is the part that made no sense to me through all of this. All he had to do was tell the bank/credit card co which charges were valid and which ones were fraudulent. The bank would have only dealt with the ones claimed to be fraudulent. I am sure the bank asked him. Either he is pulling some kind of scam or is completely oblivious to how he should have handled it and his bank never followed their normal protocol.
I do not see both of those things happening; what are the odds of it?

This ^^^. It isn't rocket surgery. None of this happens without him making it happen.

Inb4 he contacts Lance, says he shipped the wrong knife and would Lance please ship that one back, as he has a MUCH nicer one for only an additional $250 if Lance would be so kind as to send the money with the knife.

Let me preface this by saying I hope everyone is made whole. This situation sucks for a lot of people. That said, this thread is starting to take a really awful turn, IMO. The masses are making it hard for people to want to open up and share news. I didn't take LL's response as him defending Balls, but rather letting people know what his personal situation is and his interactions with Balls. Would I have given out more money? Of course not, but you guys have turned on a victim and are treating him like he is scum.

It certainly does appear that way doesn't it. However, if you were to read the "Bad" threads in this forum, you'd understand why the reaction from people are so harsh. It's becoming all to often that people are being scammed/cheated out of their hard earned money. This situation just may be the straw that breaks the camels back. Read the whole thread, it just wasn't one or two people that got scammed.
I for one wouldn't say a word on behalf of someone in this Dingleberry's situation, no matter how much I'd want to. Sometimes it's best to keep to yourself until the flames die down and the smoke clears. If you don't believe that, go check out the reaction of people on this forum when Strider is mentioned.
Like Peter Hartwig stated, it won't be fine until restitution is made for everyone that got cheated.
BTW, I went through 4 pages of GB&U and counted seven "Bad" threads, including the stickies in less than a years time.

I don't want to take the thread off course by getting into a long argument. Nowhere in my post did I say only one person was affected... in fact, I said the opposite. I don't understand why you would want people to keep to themselves. This thread was literally unlocked to allow for updates. Balls is banned so obviously the updates can't come from him. So, by default, the updates have to come from the people affected by this.
