Pocket knife or hultafors are my poop knives.

This is my trails large tasks knife. That log makes it look small.

Don't even tell me you haven't passed on a blade because your experience with it and what you will do with the blade has proven it a bad choice. If not then you haven't used them enough for varying tasks.

Like I said before. Mr. Winkler can come on over and spend a day or two with me on the trails any time he wants to.

I am not talking about everyone else and what they do have done or used. I am simply saying that If I go and complain that people are trying to speak to a knifes virtues simply by viewing it online and using prior experience as a basis, that it would benefit me not to do the exact same thing because it makes me a hypocrite. If you cant praise a knife based only on prior knowledge with unrelated equipment then you cant denounce it based only on prior knowledge with unrelated equipment. Your argument for many things is always that you have to USE a knife to know about it. But you have not used the Winkler but you feel your own rules dont apply. I do appreciate you saying everyone is full of something. Because everyone implicates you as well.

Wrong answer. I simply do not trust anyone. He can send me his and if I feel like it I could have it snapped in two pieces, or more in 5 minutes or less. I don't know him or anyone here so if anyone opens their mouth so wide as to challendpge me the rule is you come to me and we go out and have a good time on and off the trails. That's the only way that goes down. Better yet, you buy one since you are such a fan and you come spend a few days with me. I have a nice guest room and the wife can cook real good for the days we don't eat on the trail.

That sounds good, now back it up with some kind of experience based comments. I'm not interested in who's full of what. Tell me why you are going to buy one based on using the steel. After you buy it use it every single day for a month doing any and everything you can think of with it, let us know how it works out. Include pics of the finish worn off to bare metal or I won't believe you.

What's the model of your knife? Someone mentioned Schrade... it's an schf18 or something like that I think?

I'll have to take a look at my monthly budget but perhaps I can get one of these shipped to Mr. Winkler.

I'd rather buy a knife I'll actually use but now I'm kinda interested in the test.

Wow! A lot happened since the last time I checked this thread. Lots of good posts. Quiet is on point as usual. Dave M, Antdog, Purple, cory, insipid, etc...there are just too many to thank. It's like winning the academy awards! Well and of course Mr. Winkler!

Boris, take the challenge or we can always look back on this time when it came for you to prove your point and you didn't even show up.

SCHF37. I'm pretty sure I would destroy the 18 quickly doing some of the things I've done with the 37.

If he only does a 20 minute YouTube video, I'm not interested. He needs at least a months time head to head exact same use and treating both with the same respect. I could go out to the wood pile right now and do a bunch of bad hits on purpose and break mine if I wanted to, so I hope he has some integrity.

Let's see some winkler camp knife in use pics. Best case scenario for you all right now is the challenger has been motivated to start a month long every day use example test to compare over long distance. The shame is we aren't getting any of the R&D pics and final product testing results.

37, thank you. I was just guessing on the number, I knew if was schf something, didn't even know if 18 was a real number connected to a real knife or not.

No, the shame is you are not accepting the challenge because you are afraid :eek:

Make all the excuses you want. It is not apparently worth $30 for you to back up your word (junk talk).
 
Personally I very much wish this was a Winkler vs. SCHF9 contest... aesthetically I prefer that knife and if I'm really gonna buy a knife I have no interest in so we can do this test... well. Oh well. If I can find it cheaply enough with quick and hopefully free shipping I'll see what I can do.
