Be Honest... Would you pay $625 for this knife?

So Boris, what is your experience with the knife in question? Excuses about "similar" knives need not waste our time. You want folks to post about their experience with this knife? You first! But since this has already been asked of you for pages, and even when you demand the same from others, I am sure you will just post a bunch of excuses, yet again. It is fun to watch though, so go on.

And have you noticed that pretty much everyone takes issue with your posts? It isn't just me. And remember when Mr. Winkler challenged you and you backed out?

You lack reading comprehension. Even if I repeated it for you, you wouldn't understand. Your brain processes English in craytab. Before you can be fixed by reading what I posted, you need to fix some issues upstairs. That's on you. Even then I have never seen you post about using any knife for any purpose or what you even own.

Why are you here? Then why are you posting contributing nothing to this topic?

So Boris, what is your experience with the knife in question?

Still no answer I see. It's okay. The question is rhetorical.

Ahhhh, I love the smell of chicken in the morning. It smells like...Chicken.

Again, I am amazed at the passion here about how much I charge for a Camp Knife. Now it has expanded to my knife wont perform as well as another that is priced lower. That could be true. I have not tested a lot of other makers knives.

How about this, anyone out there that that wants to step up to the challenge I will put my Camp Knife up against any other similar knife out there in a side by side test. If your knife beats mine you can have my knife.

Some of the competition knives I have seen will certainly hold up to any test I may come up with. Those guys are really good at making high performance knives but I doubt there are many that cost less than $625 unless the maker just wants to get rid of one. I really don't think a full custom is what is being compared to mine in this thread. However I will accept the challenge from anyone.

You can send your knife to me and I will video the tests, you can bring your knife to me and witness test yourself.

Who's in?

Daniel

I have no shoe in this argument, but you're saying that if I send you a BK2 and it out performs your knife, I can have it for free? :D

What if the knives tie or the one sent to you gets destroyed in the process, then what?

Like the others have said, you have some amazing designs. But in this economy - not many can afford a knife like that. Especially with comparable offerings from Survive!, Becker, ESEE or even other custom made pieces.

I've asked Boris multiple questions, in this thread, and have yet to get answers.

I would like to apologize to Mr. Winkler for ever having to be dragged into this mockery. If you are reading this, I highly respect you for posting and offering a challenge to anyone (not just Boris). In my opinion, your knives are high quality tools designed and created with the knowledge and care of a true craftsman. I would personally love to see a Winkler II destroying Boris' beloved Schrade, but as he has already confessed, he isn't interested in watching a YouTube test video. I truly hope that this thread has struck interest in Winkler II knives and has increased your sales tremendously! No one deserves to be shot down by some troll on a forum. The knife community is like a big family and Boris is the redheaded stepchild.

:D HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... not a chance! I'd buy 10 CONDOR speed bowies before I pay for someone's name on a knife..... and have money left to blow!

I'm sorry, but one way or another this challenge has to be done. It has to. Either it will be the biggest upset in history (very highly unlikely), or it will serve up someone a huge dose of crow and knock his soapbox out from under him for good.
I say we designate a facilitator, then everyone who wants to watch the fireworks donate $5 via paypal. The facilitator then purchases the mighty Schrade in question and has it shipped directly to Mr. Winkler for the "battle royale". I think it would be worth it just for how funny it would be alone. It's worth a fiver to me either way.
I hope the Schrade gets totally obliterated and chopped in half in the process. That would be hilarious, and settle this **** measuring once and for all. C'mon fellas - we can muster the balls Boring lacks! What say you all?

Can someone please buy a schrade and send it to Mr Winkler?

Oh, and ibtl.

So, how much is the schrade like $30? Perhaps if some reliable member wanted to purchase one we could all throw in say..$5 or $7 bucks each?
It wouldn't take long to reach that price a quick few bucks each via paypal to make this happen.

Whoever is buying I'll happily chip in my portion, although I doubt anything could shut Boris up. I don't believe I've ever seen someone make this big of an ass of themselves.

SCHF37. I'm pretty sure I would destroy the...
Blah, blah, blah...

The only useful information you've provided in this entire thread.

Ok fellas, here is Boris74's amazing blade.

$29.95 from two reputable dealers.

By my count we got 5 from myself and 5 from AntDog

We need some trustworthy member to be the buyer and 4 more donations of $5.
Lets make this happen.

I am in for $5, but I think we all know what the problem here will be. The only result old boris will believe is if his knife wins. In his crazy world, there is no loosing. Only us rational folks would be impacted by this.

Well, he did already begin speculating about Mr. Winklers integrity and mentioned how a 20 minute Youtube video would mean nothing since it should take a month or more of comparison. Of course he also mentioned breaking the Winkler knife in 5 minutes, so I'm not sure why he thinks the testing should need to take longer than that.

Oh, he has mentioned lots of stuff, most of it not making a lick of sense. I don't see, even if we did this test, why he would see the world any different.

I'm sorry, what? You haven't accepted. You attempted to turn Mr. Winkler's offer around into "I don't trust you, come in person to my murder ranch where I'll take you out on "the trail" so they won't find the body. I don't trust you, but expect you to trust ME." Laughingly, I've seen horror movies with this same plot. Is that banjos I hear?

In any case, it's poor logic, any way you slice it, and it's also typical troll behavior. I've seen it a million times on other forums, usually on car boards where a loud mouth gets asked to race, suddenly it's backsliding, and attempts to change the terms. Mr. Winkler graciously invited you to send a cheap knife in for testing. You refused. So, technically, yes, you DID back down, so let's not try to spin this, mkay?

Someone's living in a bizarro world, but it's not me. LOL In any case, I expect this will be locked shortly, and at this point you're outed as the troll that several of us believed you to be back when you started pushing your "My cheap Schrades are better than any other knife, and I know better because I'm the only one here who actually uses his knives."

Anyway, this has been fun, so I'll sit back and watch this burning rowboat sink beneath the waves.

Ha ha... "murder ranch".

I'm impressed with Mr. Winkler's patient response to a dumb claim, and it seems like a fair offer.

Sending a 30$ knife via USPS makes way more sense than expecting people to take time off work to travel wherever-the-hell to a stranger's "murder ranch". I'm not making a personal judgement, and I don't think the original comment was intended that way either (I could be wrong ); it's just weird to expect someone you don't know to drop everything and show up at a rural location with a huge knife to challenge another guy with a huge knife. It sounds creepy just typing it out.
