Congrats? Bladite.

A step back is frustrating, but creating all new is cool.

Plus pay checks are helpful to many life goals.

a step back can be a good thing

esp if i'm "my own commander" :D

It will definitely be ffg or possibly even a bit of a convex grind. Thanks for volunteering GSOM to make some Mikecarta. Does he know about it yet?

Yes he does. In spirit. Soon, consciously. He's frothing..

Convex that bad boy! (No, not Mike, he's totally, unreservedly and unapologetically concave)..

You got that wrong, Springy. I am without a doubt VERY convex. In fact, I am a reserved and apologetic convexual. I'm sorry.

As for the Mike-Carta®, I haven't made any recently - although I did look at the stuff for doing it recently, if that counts. AC, go with the known quantity. My quality control is suspect. I think the guy who makes it has been drinking on the job.

Todd, those news blades are sweet!!

Blah-dee-tay: kick it's arse. aw yeah. considering change myself.

re: bachelorhood
I got nothing to say.

Somehow missed this photo. That's a sexy blade Todd:

Keep it up, guys! We need to see more of these.

Dang. Gotta get me one of them now. Is this the Magua 2.0 I read about?
Trailmate is the only one I've heard for that one. I haven't heard of a Magua 2.0. There are some interesting blade profiles out there floating around though. Search around and you'll find a few trailing points to drool over.

My comment in Todd's picture thread stemmed from my experience that almost every Magua I've handled is a bit different. They are handmade, so they have their own character. Derek's is a bit different than Murph's, Murph's is a bit different from mine and mine is a bit different from my wife's. It seems that over the years it has developed a bit more belly, a bit more blade length and a bit more handle.... And I liked it..... A lot.

That Trailmate is dead sexy though. I'd love to see more of them, but I still need a Yuma, TW and M-18 as well as a few customs I have floating around in me head and one of those sweet ass bowies Todd can cook up.

I read something somewhere about some changes to the magua that I may have misunderstood. Might have been your post, might have been someone else. I dunno.

No worries! I figured my post last night chatting with Gunyon probably wasn't the most clear. I kind of expect Todd to chime in with something like "Well now I didn't really redesign the Magua... blagh blagh blagh... Handmade.... blagh blagh blagh.... evolution of the.... blagh blagh blagh..." It will be poignant, well written and will more than likely leave me in the corner ultimately like so: :foot:. It's happened before and it'll happen again. :D

Nobody puts Jerry in the corner..

Randomly bought the misso some flowers a little while ago. I got this in the mail today..

...plus a little 'wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more' this morning. The power of flowers. Un. F@€king. Real.

I appreciate the sentiment. :D Generally, if I go over to the corner it is due to my own mouth.... Then it is generally on my own accord, "Yea, that was asinine..... I'll be over here if anyone needs me."

Mine gets suspicious when I randomly bring flowers. You got to mix it up with knife purchases and just randomly bringing them to throw her off her game.

Good score on the Izula and scales though. Although a little sacrilege to admit it, I really like mine and carry it quite a bit.

Try this strategy next time..... Buy the black blade like you have there, but find some purple or whatever color scales. Give that to her. Let her fall in love with the cute little knife. Go out right after this happens and buy the purple or pink one. Take that back with a big, "Look what I found!" Swap the scales over to the new purple/pink one and BOOM! You're walking around today with a "new" Candiru....

(Orange scales will be here Thursday)
I suppose that you could argue that I paid for it twice, but now she has a blade that she appreciates too and that helps them start to understand the sickness.

In the interest of full disclosure, it sounds like a nice scheme, but my wife actually picked out the Candiru for herself. I saw the purple one, snagged it for her and took advantage of the black one going unused now. :D

Wait... Did I read that wrong? SHE sent you the Izula? Awesome score, Springy!

I'll go to my corner now.

Indeed. The fairer sex appears to truly delight in the presentation of amputated reproductive organs of other species.
Please, please, please, do not follow this idea to its logical conclusion (or don't post about it, anyway).

I was in the city of Antwerp today for something work related. From the train station, I had to walk some 15-20 minutes to my destination. Of course, the talk of the town is the Paris attacks and its consequences, the so called link to a certain community in Belgium where they might have planned it etc. etc.
Anyway, while I was waiting at a red light, I overheard some kids (between 10-12) talking about the subject and -I hope this doesn't spark anything political or anything- one of the boys kept reassuring the others and saying: "Hey guys, don't worry ok? The US is going to help us for sure!"...

Thought that was cute. But it says a lot as well if you think about it...

It is a sweet looking blade. I really like it....a lot. I have the Yuma, and Hornet. An M-18 will be mine one of these days.

let me know if you want to spend some quality time with an M18 that will fit your hand better than most before shelling out the $$$.
