Anybody know if there will be any VIP passes for Blade this year?

I asked, but I'm not sure where Ka-Bar is with them. Push come to shove, maybe I can get a couple and hand deliver them at the door.
Just flip a copperhead through the door nearest the Ka-Bar booth and I'll know y'all are out there.

Damn that funny "dog" I know how ya feel, sometimes I would love to let loose on some of the people that have asked me for stuff. Most of the time I have pretty pleasent experiences but I get me share of dumbasses to. Had one guy order a expensive knife with a curly maple handle. I put my best piece I had on it at the time. When he got it. He imediately took it to the saw and cut them off and wrapped to handle in 550 cord then sent me pictures of it saying how much he loved it. I asked why he did that and asked if he didn't like the wood I wouldn't of wasted my time, effort, and best piece of material. He said, "no dog! I liked it just fine, but it was my intention all along to cut the handles off and cord wrap it. I didn't know you could do cord wrap, I thought you just worked in wood and sh!t".

Had another guy wanted to order a knife and wanted the handle to be made of human bone. I told him "no problem! I'll just get in my human bone catalog and order him a femer of a russian czer and get that right out to him" he said. "O.k. dude! Let me know when its done. (Oh, and his budget was less than $75. Bucks.)

How are my gorilla-pecker scales coming?

who's all goin to blade? im bummed to miss it this year, its just a few hours drive and i always enjoy it every year.

I doubt it. :D

Me too honestly, lmao.... finding a trust worthy proxy is easier said than done, especially when i don't have an exact knife in mind... more like heres some money go grab me something badass from this table lmao....

bric-a-brac-a-son-of-a... Not going to make it. Apparently there is a lot going on around St. Louis (work-wise) that I have been specifically requested for so I don't have the time off. Coupled with missing a lot of work already this month.... :grrrrr:

However, I shall be talking to some folks here about some stuff... :D

Our Brimfield table-sharing plans fell through, so I figured there might be a birudashi available, but it ended up sold at the end of the day to an engraver when we got into a tools conversation. It helped that he was short a bottle opener. :)

Gotta cut some more now.

-D

Actually, human bone is available. I train my cadaver dog on it. There is a place in southern California called The Bone Room where you can get whatever bone you want. I've got a collection of foot bones (metatarsals) all wired together in an ammo can in the garage. :D

Its been one of those days... Everything that could go wrong went wrong and ended with a broken garage door! :grumpy:
