Becker "Move Your Butt" Challenge - July 2014

I have two more bouts of exercise to add. On Tuesday I swam 600 meters/ 1/3 of a mile and walked 1 mile for 3 BPs. On Thursday I ran 2 miles and walked 1.4 for 3.4 BPs.

Current total BPs: 17.9

And two days in a row. 30 mile ride yesterday.
7.5 + 6 = 13.5 ♡healthy BP TTD.

Another 30 mler today. Weather was gorgeous, if a bit breezy. Managed almost 30 mph with a tailwind....for a few seconds. My overall pace was still pedestrian, but it's nice to be able to ride again.
7.5 + 13.5 = 21 BP TTD.

Quick question, what are becker points?

It ain't a contest. It's about doing what you can do to get mobile.

Between the dates of June 1 and June 30, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
4 miles (6.4 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 6 Becker Points

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 200 miles, or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 8.3 miles. But you can combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.

The reward? You'll feel better, and you'll be participating with a group of supportive peers.
