Becker Vs Busse?

I think Busse makes some great knives, but I think I might be a little bit scared to thrash on a $300+ knife, I like Beckers, and at their price point you just can't go wrong!

Glad ya'll are staying civil.

I called the Soopa Mods, and Esav was sharpening up his Ban Hammer, and Blues, well, lets just say those that Esav don't get, will wish he did when Blues gets done.

:D

Have fun, play nice.

Busse makes nice stuff. Very nice. I've had a few as well as a few Swamprats, Scrapyards and some beautiful custom knives. If you want value, however, Becker is going to be very tough to beat. I feel the same way about a Mora. Amazing knife for the price but they are all together different classes. Its like comparing my F150 Supercrew 4x4 to a Mercedes. While I repect the craftmanship of the Mercedes, the F150 is more my style and does a job I would not fell good about trying with the Mercedes.

$1000?!!! Thats a wee bit high mate. Have patience, score a satin one for $$700-800(still a lot I know) and use that extra $200-300 to buy a cpl beckers

eta-just a few weeks ago there was a user combat grade zilla on the ex with nice sheath for $450, dont rush a big purchase and good deals are bound to pop up.

He sharpens his hammer?

Must be a tactical hammer :D

waffle face -- even a glancing shot will tear a big strip off'n ya.

that said, there are Busse blades to be had for no more than the price of a custom made by several of the makers here on BF - are the custom blades overpriced as well?
I have a pair of Busse's, some Beckers, Moras, etc... and a few customs made by different folks -- so far as I can tell, I have yet to stress any of them close to their performance level under regular use.
buy what you like, use it how you will.

Busse VS Becker, don't see why they have to fight myself, mine get along oh so well, best buds actually

I told you they had the same shadow and silhouette. :D Nice job man. I seriously think this is a better comparison than anything else I have seen.

Never ceases to amaze me where my images show up. :D

Busse vs. Becker, huh? Well I personally think Busse's are awesome, but having no experience (yet) with Becker, I do hear that they are damn decent knives. I mean...if Guyon likes 'em, how bad could they be? ;) Never really liked the handles on most of the ones I saw though...until I saw this tweener here, the BK-15 I think? That one I think I need to try! Love everything about it and the handle looks really comfortable.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I guess I should go read some stickies here to learn how one orders Beckers and from where. I do think it's time to get my hands on that trailing point tweener... :)

I own busse and several busse kin knives(swamprat, scrapyard) and i love them, super tough, well made knives, matter f fact, their 511 goes with me everyday to work, as does my bk14 and in the truck is my favorite knife-the BK9. Room for everyone at my house....

I got a couple becker, and more soon. I also have 2 scrapyards, and I love all of em :)

Way too apples and oranges I think. Different markets altogether. There are some busse guys that slum it with us :D. If you got an extra grand, have at it. I'm sure you will love it. As far as steel vs steel well that's something for the scientists. I get along just fine with what I got, and so do the busse fellas. Apples and oranges

Slumming?

Absolutely not!!

Becker knives are great. So are the posters here.
