Becker Vs Busse?

somebody needs to sell me both versions of the zilla cheap :)

I have handled a few Busse's at the last couple of Gatherings that Guyon was kind enough to bring. The FBM is an amazing knife. Huge as all get out, and thick as hell, but I want one. Killa Zilla would be pretty sweet too, but I haven't gotten to fiddle with one of those yet. Honestly though, I don't think it has to be an either or kind of situation. Don't see anything wrong with liking both.

I've owned several Busse's, Swamp Rats, and Scrap Yards. I liked them all but I was always afraid to leave the house with one of my Busses. Worried somebody would break in to my truck and then boom, gone. One of the things that I love about my Beckers is the phenomenal value. You get some much more knife than you pay for. As far as Busse kin go, Swamp Rat is the best bang for the buck IMHO. SR101 for $90 - $150 new is hard to beat. I've gotten some great performance from my rats, especially the old school Res-c models.

HOGS and Rats and Beckers Oh My!

I like knives ;)

I'd be a fool not to tag this one. I like to be a fool anyway, just to be safe.

I have the effect on people :)

i'm so friendly, and my posts are so clearly goofy and pointless that no one can find a reason to be offended ;)

I've got a RatManDu. That's the only one. I do like it, but frankly, it doesn't seem that special to me. Back to Beckers for me! My collection has skyrocketed over the last couple weeks, with the addition of a 16 and HazeK9, and now the 4. Pretty satisfied now, actually. That's pretty much all of the Beckers that I really wanted.

Hmmmmm. How about a nuclear hand grenade? How would that work?
Sounds like a Russian design.

Anyway.....
I imagine that these conversations sound a lot like the ones the samurai were having about which bladesmith produced the best swords/could cut the longest/cause the most destruction. It really doesn't matter I suppose. Unless of course it matters to you. Then it does.
There is a point at which people stop focusing on improving their skill sets and instead focus on the tools. If you are so experienced and confident in your bushcrafting/knife fighting/whatever skils that you have exhausted the full capabilities of the blade, then more power to you. Start with a tool that is safe and wont let you down. Its all up from there!
