Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification Thread

This is a fighter I starts three years ago with a file and hacksaw. It sat around until I got my Wilmont LB1000. I promptly almost ruined it, so I put it down and started the smaller hunters. A few months ago I changed dimensions on the blade and came up with a smaller fighter.
1095 from Aldo. .188" thick FFG, Blade 6.875" blade length, 1.5"blade height. It will have a nickel silver guard and fancy walnut handle.

Damn, Hawk, that's going places. Really impressive.

lol, thanks. After doing grooves on it I went over with a blowtorch, then sanded one more time.
Looks like it was woven (wove?) together or braided. Getting ready to make some more of my own ghetto-carta....got a bunch more canvas I've been itching to resin together.

Mike, it is burlap strips in 3 different colors...have you trademarked Ghetto-Carta? I like it! DunkEm, both neckers and a bunch of other blades will be posted on the exchange soon, pm if you are interested.

Thanks, Nick, glad you like that one! It's lively in the hand. Now I just need a roast...

Here's some of this weekend's progress:

The colors on this one were gorgeous... off they go:

Well yeah, the handle does look a little blocky. And you might think about taking those pins down a tad. Looks like you're getting better at glue though. Love the blue tape! Jeez.

:D

Hold on, lemme get my angle grinder. That'll fix it up.
