Hey Folkies, I've been busy... just got a new post up in the maker's gallery if you're interested in what I've been up to.
Hope y'all're having a good weekend so far.

Wow Daizee!
Those look fantastic!
Very nice work.
I've checked out your website a few times and I must say, all of your models look great.

Have you ever actually had anyone be appreciative for fixing their grammar for them? Maybe it's best to just leave it be.

I'll second the motion.
All in favor...I, I, I.
Motion passed.

Sorry, I mean't it in a joking manner, I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time, though it would not be the first time I did without intending so. I guess I'll take off my red ABC armband now...

What I was gonna post: So, I went to the flea-market and found a tek-lok (the real one) for about $5 so I figured half price is a good deal, picked it up to try my 2 Scout style, slight problem though.... I got 3 out of 4 of the original screws off, the 4th one just spins itself and the female side (I don't know the technical term for it), regardless of the sheath and the piece on the back that the webbing attaches to (also unaware of the technical name). Any ideas?

I usually hold the female side (the nut?) with thumb and unscrew. you may need a little penetrating oil to loosen it up.

I guess it would be considered a nut, but my busted brain didn't put that together.... As far as just putting my thumb on it, doesn't work, not enough grip, even when (bad idea coming up) put another screw in the other side of the nut and twisted with 2 screw drivers.

What counts as penetrating oil? (I assume not WD40...)

Sometimes you can get needle nose pliers on the head of the female side and grab just enough to break it loose.

Putting another screw on the other end ain't gonna do it. Ever see two nuts used against each other as lock nuts? That's the same physics you're doing by tightening one screw down on the other.

Happy Labor day to you as well. I'm celebrating by working in an almost empty office. :D It's all good, though, I get to take my son out on a 4-day camping trip starting on Thursday.

Just ordered the Fenix LD10. Looking forward to getting it.

I love the LD10. I actually had one forever and it broke (user error, don't worry) and I upgraded to the LD12. I don't carry it often though at it's a bit bigger than the LD10 and my EDC light is a 4sevens mini 123. Enjoy your new light!

I was thinking about getting the JetBeam BA10 as well. The Quark Mini AA too. They're so reasonably priced, I almost ordered all three. Ah, nice to be working again...

I love my Fenix light that I got from Ethan. That little thing is probably the greatest light I have!!!

Happy labor day guys. Im currently smoking a 2lb brisket. 5 more hours to go...

I have a Fenix PD31. It's worked great for me for over a year. Hope you enjoy yours warrior. I'll have to lookup that model.

From what I read, the LD12 is the upgraded model of the LD10. I found the LD10 for $39.99 shipped. Lowest I could find it.

Need opinions here. I'm taking my son on a pretty big climb / hike (for a kid that just turned 7) and am considering getting him a decent knife to commemorate the weekend. He's proven himself to be safe and trustworthy with the old slipjoint I gave him and I'm thinking either a Mora / LMF knife, BK14 or ???? What say you?
