wow both knives look great. is that a stone washed finish on the Carothers. what model Spyderco is that. I like the thick handle.

Thanks ! That's not a Carothers, knife was made by our menem - not sure how he calls the finish (on Elmax).

The Spyderco is a Vallotton. This one is Dual Action (modified by Vallotton's son, I believe).

How do you find it's utility in use?

Here is my EDC from Petr. Great size for a pocket fixie.
Edit: 3,8mm thick Elmax steel. 19cm oal and 9,5cm blade lenght. G10 and carbon pins on handle.

Very nice. To be honest, I haven't used the Seax much yet, more so the Tank, which is a great camp knife so far.

Roger that, he can knock out the work at a blistering pace, I hope to be half as good at something as he is with leather one day. Speaking of, you're doing pretty good with the other half of the picture for not being a knifemaker. I think I see a very light etch revealing some detail in the steel, is that ball bearing damascus in that one?

I can't decipher the maker's mark for this knife? Who made it?

Swamp Rat custom shop. To be honest I'm unsure what the model is but it seems to have similarities to the Hairy Carry. I've never pursued it. Likely SR-101 steel, which is being phased out at Busse, for other experiments with 3V, Magnacut, and prob others. The fit and options on this blade make it one of my best/most used fixies!
