Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

2021 Christmas Cup I received from the facility. Half empty with Cherry Lemonade, that started out as way much too sweet Tropical Punch.
(I had my own bottle of Real Lemon Juice™ to fix the fruit punch.)
Maybe I'll remember to get my Doctor's ok for adult beverages this year. A couple pints of dark beer, or Bud with Clamato wound be nice.

A couple of pints for the year, or a couple of pints per day?? Doc's opinion might differ on those two options. ;)

Couple pints a day, once or thrice a week, depending on my chew supply and what I give to Amazon or other online's (never eBay) in exchange for cutlery, archery, and pens. 😁
Mississippi Mud dark beer comes in a 2 pint/36 ounce ... umm ... "home brew" ... type jug. I rather doubt the boss will get that brew though. I've only seen it at one store, located about 6 miles farther in to town than she goes. 🥺😢

Oh well. That's "life". 😁

Couple pints a day, once or thrice a week,
You're a better man than I; a couple of pints in a day would probably make me a "blithering idiot" (instead of just the normal idiot I am when sober)! 🤓 If I recall correctly, I split each of the almost-20-oz. cans like the one pictured below into 2 almost-10-oz. servings to drink at 2 separate occasions.

I received 3 cans like this as Christmas gifts, and spread them out over the week ending on Christmas, the week ending on New Year's Day, and the first full week of 2022. Can't go wrong with stouts from Guiness IMHO.

I need a photo opportunity, I need a shot of Redemption, don't want to end up a cartoon in a cartoon graveyard.... apologies to Paul Simon...
My latest in a quest for smooth whiskey....
Redemption rye, and a swayback.... the rye is actually pretty good... a little "spicy", and goes down smooth, with almost no burn....

Another Christmas/Birthday gift beer. This is one that I don't drink regularly, but I've had it several times in the past, and always find it a very enjoyable porter. They've changed the label art over the years. Here's the current label:

Here's the label from 2017:

Here's the label from 2015:

I like the first label the best, then the current one, and the one from 2017 the least, since it doesn't seem the ship is in much peril.

Of course, I happen to like the Gordon Lightfoot song very much, too. What the old cook has to say gets me every time. We've been to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point several times; they have a special exhibit for the Edmund Fitzgerald that went down nearby.

Must be a tasty beer Gary since it’s been in your rotation for several years. I’m going to look for that one, I know my wife will like it if it doesn’t do it for me. 👍
That’s a very poignant and haunting song, never change the station or skip that one. 👍
Very cool picture of the beautiful Owl Taylor, and what a great name for a beer. 😎👍
