Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Must be a tasty beer Gary since it’s been in your rotation for several years. I’m going to look for that one, I know my wife will like it if it doesn’t do it for me. 👍
That’s a very poignant and haunting song, never change the station or skip that one. 👍

Yeah, I think the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter is very good, Todd. Not sure why I don't drink it more often, other than I can get porters almost as good for lower cost in my usual grocery store (Atwater Vanilla Java Porter and, until this year, Leinenkugel Snowdrift Vanilla Porter). The Fitzgerald porter has won some awards in the past, but I don't know if that's very meaningful.

I haven't seen a ton of live shows, but I did see Lightfoot in concert back in late 1976 or early 1977 - great show!

The trusty Canoe riding on a dunkel.
Since I like canoes and I like dunkels, that's a splendid photo IMHO! 🤓

Here's another of the beers I got as Christmas gifts. I think its the first beer brewed in Sri Lanka that I've ever drunk! It was very good, and I DID discover a Lion in me, albeit a cowardly one. 😁

I saw him sometime in the late seventies, also. I know it was at least 1976, because I could drive. Went with my honey of the time. It was at Pine Knob up around Flint. I've been a fan of his since I was a teenager.

To stay on topic

My little girl helped make pork steaks for dinner ahead of the Chiefs game
Wow, just too cute Jon, what a great post! 😎🤣
I’m in Valrico, just east of Tampa. I was really hoping they would take that game to overtime. Way it goes sometimes
I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten so excited and then so dejected in such a short period of time before. Oh well, still love the Bucs!

If you guys get together for a beer without me I’m going to block both of you!
🤣🤣🤣

Gesundheit!! 😁

Here's another from the assortment of beers (mostly stouts and porters) that were Christmas gifts from my wife. I've seen this one show up in this thread, and those who've posted it usually rate it highly. I now know why!! Really great imperial stout with no fancy ingredients (e.g., peanut butter, coconut, kumquats, jalapeños, maple syrup).

The label mentions Catherine the Great, a famous Empress of Imperial Russia. The greatest mathematician of the 18th century, Euler, spent the last 17 years of his career and life at the St. Petersburg Academy after Catherine the Great took over Imperial Russia, and here's a knife displaying Euler's Identity (thanks, Rachel):
