Bigmark, this is the last time I address one of your posts before I put you on ignore. You are the one who made it personal against nirvanero when you sent me a PM at the very beginning of this sordid mess, telling me how you did not trust the guy despite the fact that your sale to him went smoothly. You clearly tried to win me over to Benya's side, so I don't think you are a neutral party here anymore than I am.

My pm to you at the beginning of this thread was stating facts that had just occured...don't attempt to dis-credit me with innuendo's.

I have my opinions and they are based on the facts of my personal transactions with both involved in this thread but i have refrained from posting them as this is not my battle.

Can everyone PLEASE take it down a notch or two? I realize there are a lot of folks here who are upset for a variety of reasons. Most, if not all, of those reasons are understood by the readers of this thread, be they mods or otherwise. Understanding why someone else is upset though does not mean that everyone will agree on what course of action is appropriate, or even when such action should occur. The simple fact remains that Kevin is Captain of this ship. He is the final, sole decision maker in matters concerning this forum and we all have to respect that ALL OF THE TIME. We may not like certain things that occur from time to time, but we all knew that might occasionally happen when we signed on here as members. There are no guarantees, no promises. Please, let's keep things in their proper perspective and not let someone like Benya be the source of in-fighting. He just is not worth it.

LorenzoL, you need to keep in mind that there's a moderator forum that the rest of us can't see where stuff like bannings are discussed. Obviously I can't see it either, so I can't say for certain, but I think you can be assured that the mods aren't ignoring this Igor/benya situation.

People like Igor usually aren't banned outright because it won't resolve anything. A banned user can't post, send/receive PMs, etc. Thus banning them outright might have the unwanted affect of making it less likely that things will be made right for the person(s) wronged (at least, it gives them less incentive).

I don't disagree that Igor seems to have been given an unusually long leash (or rope to hang himself), but it's not your decision to ban him, and you're probably not privy to everything that's being discussed about him. Give it a rest. Your bloodlust is growing tiresome, and your complaining about the mods/Spark is bordering on trolling.

It was pointed out to me (thank you, frontline29) that my user name came up in a discussion and I was advised to check it out. I haven't read the entire thing (my apologies, I am swamped at work), only the page 9 which was linked in the message I received . Apparently there's a certain Igor on this forum who appears to be from Canada and in less than perfect standing with the members of this community and it has been suggested that perhaps I am him.

I have no idea who this guy is (I will read the entire thread when I get a chance to find out) and I assure you that I am not his alter ego. I am sure the admins of this board can easily ascertain that by simply comparing IP logs for the two user names. In fact, I'd appreciate if such a verification was performed to remove all doubt as to my credibility. I have been a member of many different hobby boards for many years and never once had a negative feedback posted on any of my dealings, whether acting as a buyer or a seller.

One more thing - I have been defrauded myself a few times on other boards and participated in similar discussions venting my frustration about PayPal and the Police not willing to do anything to help me get my money back, so I know very well how a desire to help a fellow member who's been scammed can lead to a joint effort to expose the scammer. I would completely understand when a scam artist's person information is published on a forum as a warning to others to avoid them, but since I hardly fall into that category I would appreciate if my info were removed. Keep the fraudster's info, he deserves it probably, but what do I have to do with all this? Thanks in advance.

By the way, if I were a scammer trying to hide behind an assumed online persona, I'd probably opt for a user name which would be somewhat less transparent. And I am not from Hamilton (been there twice, didn't like it - "grimy" is the first word that comes to mind when I recall the experience).

Your information about your belonging to other forums checks out, I found an Igor01 from Toronto posting on a computer tweak site, Overclockers, as far back as 2003.
Again, my bad.

Edited to add: Igor01 very sorry to bring you into this. But us here on Blade Forums take Benya's behavior very seriously.
Anyways, I hope you can understand why we acted the way we did when we seen you username and your close vicinity to the actual scammer/thief.

A weird coincidence that's for sure.

I hope that the controversy with Igor aka Benya is resolved soon. I've done a cursory search on the Igor in question (in Russian) and came up with his hotmail address, if nirvanero or one of the admins needs it to get in touch with this person, PM me. BTW, it sounds like he's an interesting character, used to be a Soviet Air Force officer.
