I think that's exactly what they are waiting for, that Benya's accusers do something foolish so that they can ban them instead. TheGent, please reconsider. This is not worth making a stand for.

You'll have to work a little harder to get banned. You could always just hit the "Log Out" menu option and not come back.

Igor's not posting or selling on BF right now, what purpose does rushing his banning serve? It's not like the mods are sending him love letters and teddy bears. They're giving him the option of trying to redeem himself. He's probably not gonna do it, but what exactly is it hurting to leave the option open a bit longer? Other than giving the crusaders something to whine about that is.

As for Igor1, maybe it's him, maybe it's not. Try reporting his post and letting the mods have a chance to look into it before declaring victory based on a name and province.

Are you suggesting the mods here are supporting Benya and hoping those accusing him get themselves banned? I hope this guy gets banned...he deserves it but you're straying into tin foil hat territory with comments like this.

On what world does that make any sense? If The Gent ends up banned before benya, it will be because he emphatically requested it.
If you have such a problem with how the moderators do the job around here, I would suggest that you make a topic in Service & Support to air your greivances, instead of taking immature potshots in this thread.

I am not suggesting anything, I am saying that I find disturbing that from day one the mods have decided to ignore this whole mess. I have followed quite a few other GB&U threads and it is very unusual for a thread to go on like this without any intervention from a moderator. We had Spark's post a few days ago saying that Benya's behavior was intolerable, but then no follow-up.
Then there is the double identity thing, that is something that usually sparks an immediate response but so far, nothing. May I remind you that FriskyDingo was banned on the spot for creating a second user account. At the first hint of a double identity mods jump in and look into the matter. What happened here is different, hence my belief that Benya/Igor is being protected by someone within the BF administration. I may be wrong, of course, and if I am I will apologize to all involved. What I would really like to see now is Spark come here and explain why Benya is being shown such leniency, maybe they know something that we don't, but if that's the case they should share the information with the rest of our community to dispel the appearance of a double standard.
If that does not happen, then I will completely lose any trust in the way this forum is run. You can't have mods giving out warnings and infractions for lesser offenses and at the same time totally ignore three major violations of forum rules & regulations (misrepresentation of an item for sale, failure to ship/deliver an item and creating a second account).
I am aware from some of the posts here that many would like me to just go away, I actually believe that I am less welcome on this forum right now than Benya. I could not care less about that, especially when those opinions come from members with little or no feedback. This is a matter involving the integrity of those who trade on the forum, so if you don't trade you probably have a different vision of the situation. Let me tell you this: there is no worse feeling than buying something from another forum member you trusted on principle and then either not receiving it or receiving something that does not live up to your expectations.
 
Lorenzo, give it a rest already, the mods are not ignoring the situation.

They are volunteers, real people with lives and families, it just happens to be a few days before Christmas.

Your conspiracy theories are not grounded in reality and only serve to tarnish your own reputation.

I'd like to think that you would value the opinion of a member who has been here for nearly a decade with a reputation beyond reproach.

I started a thread in Service & Support yesterday afternoon after reading more of your wildly speculative comments hoping that it would be less confrontational than telling you to put a cork in it, but yeah, put a cork in it.
 
I have to say, this has been a disappointing thread from start to finish. I like to think that everyone is basically good, and even if they make a mis-step, they can always make a situation right. This however, seems to be a blatant case of someone basically saying f%$# you to Blade Forums and its members.

This thread started 1 month ago today. Seems like an awful long time to wade through facts that are sadly, looking glaringly clear. Spark told him to clear it up 12 days ago, and frankly, I find the lack of action by Benya extremely disrespectful to Spark. It's like coming in someones house and taking a big dump.

nirvanero has not logged back in since the 10th. That is sad that a potentially valuable member has been made to feel that it is okay to screw him over. This guy started into this mess with 3 posts and did nothing wrong. It's probably easy to sit on the side lines and tell people to quit kicking a dead horse and leave it alone.

To me this goes to a deeper issue where we as a community have to stand up for what we feel is right and this situation stinks....bad!

I tried telling him that 6 pages ago. By all appearances, he prefers stirring the pot here to taking his issue, his belief in double standards in the gb&u, to the proper forum where something may actually come of it- other than simply derailing a gb&u thread, that is.
