Beware of nirvanero

Looks like to me that the best thing to do would be to return the knife. There's definitely some rust spots there and I have no clue what an original factory edge looks like. NIB doesn't include rust though, I suppose it might have occurred during transit, but it's irrelevant. The buyer isn't happy so the deal isn't done. Ship it back and get your money back, minus the shipping costs you had to spend of course.

I dealt with nirvanero/Roberto last week and so far so good. I did not want to ship Intl. so I asked him to provide a US address. He got back to me and asked me to ship to Roger at Knifeworks, apparently he is a good customer there otherwise they would not accept to re-ship stuff for him. He was very thorough throughout our e-mail exchange that he wanted mint knives, and that's what he is getting from me. To me mint means unused and uncarried, and with no apparent defects. I don't see how that could be interpreted differently, but that Millie does not look mint to me.

That is rust, and sadly unless you were not warned that it was there prior to buying, I too would be pretty pissed. That is certainly not NIB condition. If the rust was there prior to shipping it out I think he should also be refunded his shipping costs. Other wise he spent 95$ on what? He was told this knife was NIB I dont think it would be fair for the seller to get his knife back exactly as he shipped it but the buyer be out 95$ over nothing.

Until you produce hard evidence what you say doesnt have alot of weight to it. I have dealt with Igor a number of times with never an issue, and then you open up a second retaliatory thread which doesnt help your cause much. Return the knife in its original condition and you should have no problems, as he has already offered your money back upon receipt of the knife he sold to you. And yes paypal will require you to return the knife with tracking, before issuing any kind of refund, should you try to file a claim. Bottom line to me is that something smells fishy in Spain.

I really doubt your smell is that good, maybe you should look somewhere nearer.

It's very very beautiful that you wanna help your canadian friend, but he sold me a used knife and want me to return it so he pays me $300... I've paid $395 plus fees and I have to pay two shippings, so I'm not sending anything before I make sure Paypal gets me at least $395 plus fees.

Returning the knife in its "original condition" is the trick a lier should use, don't you think?

Yeah, send it back you can't demand he give you anything. If it's that bad you should be happy to return it.

Here's the problem: He clearly has a S90V Millie with wear/defects. The seller claims to have sent a NIB knife. If he sends the knife from the pictures, is the seller going to claim it's a different knife, or a different condition than when he sent it?

$395 total, wow, you sure wanted that thing, cant blame ya, its a great knife. Due to the fact that there is indeed rust on it, Id say you surely are entitled to getting a full refund since what you bought wan not accurately described, being out $95 shipping, PLUS return shipping, yeah, Id be pretty bummed if I was out that. Im not jumping to conclusions that the OP knew the rust was there prior to shipping as sometimes stuff like that gets overlooked. However, when charging a premium on a hard to find knife and stating it is mint/NIB, you really should get it an extra once over before jumping the gun and listing it as perfect. Those spots look pretty minor though, Im sure they would come right out. As for the edge, if it has been re-sharpened, which Im pretty sure I could tell(maybe I missed the pics), Id be REAL upset.

THAT'S THE POINT! He says the knife he sent was NIB! If he sees the photos (see the other thread) he CANNOT say this is NIB, so I CANNOT sendt it to him.

If he admits it's not NIB then he admits lying in shipping costs and knife condition... That's why I offered him refunding me $120.

its a good knife id say just be happy with it and ues it and shapen it to your likeing and get your $395 out of it

You don't have a clue what integrity is, do you? Don't ever bother contacting me because you are on permanent ignore.

Like I said before:

I don't know what pics he'll post. Will they be pics of other knife?
I get my knife back in the condition I sent - he gets $300.

about $5 for the box - ask UPS store clerk - I was packing - ask for the box - handed him $5 bill.

And just in case:

I don't know what pics he'll post. Will they be pics of other knife?
I get my knife back in the condition I sent - he gets $300.

The whole shit - give me $120 or else - I DO NOT TRUST HIM PERIOD

Why would he trust you? I have no dog in this fight but I would not deal with you after this, sorry. I am not saying you are dishonest, but your standards as to what qualifies as a NIB knife are not good enough for me.

gee whiz... how would I go on without you.... :)

anyway - I said my peace. I know what I sent, I know what I wrote.
He wants his money back - no prob. I want my knife back. I will not
bend to his attempts of blackmail($120 or else). NO WAY NO HOW.
I don't see a point of repeating myself anymore. Anybody wants anything
from me - send PM.

Yes, do you recognize that as your knife? Does it look like it has been tampered with during shipping?

I think it's quite easy to see that I wanted this knife: not only I paid $$$, but I told you to ship with the fastest and safest method ($85 UPS Express, you said it was $95, now you're saying $85 and a $5 box...). If I had in mind trading a used one for "your NIB" I guess I had chose a cheaper transport.

I don't want to attack anybody, nor thinking other countries smells Idon'tknowwhat as your friend does... if you don't want to refund me the money I ask for then pay me $395 and I'll send you the knife even cleaner.

I don't have to write in big red letters to sound right, you still have to say if the photos are from your knife and if you think a re-sharpened blade is from a NIB one.

Amazing! Here's a PAYING member, with 55+ positive itrader feedbacks, and a couple of you are on him as if he is the second coming of John Dillinger. What does a person have to do here, hurry off to Paypal and send an unknown quantity $300 dollars just cause someone wants it. Igor promised the knife could be returned in original condition for a refund period, end of story. So now our esteemed colleague from Spain has to do his part and ship it back, whats he scared of???? Paypal will not issue a refund until the buyer ships the knife back with tracking and confirmation that it arrived period. So nirvanero you need to stop demanding and start doing, Igor will not just send $120 or else...who would? Oh.. nirvanero I would stand up for any member, not only Canadians as you imply, with an excellent track record here..even someone from Spain

The whole "naughty word" - give me $120 or else - I DO NOT TRUST HIM PERIOD

So is that your knife? What do you have to say about the pics? If I sold you a knife, and you were not pleased with it or the description (for good reason), and you wanted a refund, would you expect to eat the shipping costs? You might not agree with how he came at you "or else", but it was honest and I can understand his frustration, esp if your going to call him a liar and disregard refunding return shipping.
