We live in a world of inflation, we are used to it. This pricing is “butterfly tax” ridiculous. Dare I say it’s rather condescending to assume that people who don’t pay $290 for THIS knife because they don’t find the cost equivalent to the value struggle to pay for gas and food? Can’t some people just disagree with you?Either that or there just aren't that many people who want one w/a black blade and green OD scales, regardless of the price.
I still don't see $290 being a magic # that people will not cross. Maybe it's "inflation" and the high cost of everything else which is creating the reluctance to spend $290 on another knife that you really don't need, when your greater need is to put gas in your tank and food on the table.
Whatever the case, it is what it is.
What if this knife was $400? $500? Even $600? Going to say “well it is what it is”? Market pressure changes the way businesses are run, and if a business charges too much for a product how would they know unless people tell them (or refuse to buy it)?
