I have quite a few big folders.
1. Two Al Mar SEREs, the originals, one with micarta scales and one with neoprene rubber.
2. Cold Steel Vaquero Grande.
3. Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5.
4. Harsey Tactical Folder.
5. MOD Duane Deiter CQD.
6. Benchmade Skirmish.
7. Benchmade Rukus.
8. Benchmade AFCK, one l/h and one r/h. Older liner locks.
9. Spyderco Military.

I do not consider anything smaller than 4.0 inches big. Therefore the Military and AFCK are the smallest of the biggies.

What's the point of the pocket clip on that thing? I knew that was a huge knife, but that's the first time I'd seen an in hand picture  Shore is purdy though. How quick is the action, out of curiosity?

Cliff only broke it by doing heavy batoning. Is this abuse? That's a matter of opinion. But it is far outside of the duties to be performed by most folders.

Normally yes, but on a knife thats marketed the way the SERE is I wouldn't consider it abuse. It would be pretty hard to do a lot of things out in the woods that you would need to do in a SERE situation without batoning.

And as you said, the Manix survived it, so would a Chinook. I would be interested to see if an SMF could...

Ooooo.... Nice! I love those carbon fiber handles! I also love that this post wont die. Guess I'll add some more to it. Here's my MercWorx again. My 1st group shot was awful. :barf:

Wow, thanks ghost! :o

With a decent camera(i'm using a Cannon S2), simple lightbox, and Photoshop, it's not that hard. Thanks to digital photography anyone can take a good pic. I mean I did it so how hard can it be? :)

Ok, guys. I couldn't resist. Before you look at the picture, know that I own a BM Skirmish, an 806d2, a Buck 110, a Schrade copy thereof, a Cold Steel Recon1 and a couple other real (or semi-real) large folders. However, I couldn't resist getting one of these as a steak knife at family dinners! http://www.sunsetswholesale.pronetsites.com/catalog/item/750635/359826.htm

And, BTW, its not as bad a POS as it ought to be!

I was waiting for that one:D

It really does look fantasic Physics, you should do pro photography for knife companies and knife retailer outlets! Their stuff is almost always subpar.

PS are those Hakan grips on the 1911 or?

Thanks again ghost squire.

The grips were bought off ebay by the 'gun grip guys'. That particular pair was great! Bought two others from them and they were aweful. Can't recommend them. Too bad since I really loved the 1st set I got. :(

Here's another big folder, Brad Duncan Whiplash. 4'' blade, 8 7/8'' OAL.

Very nice.

I have a black Military, black Rukus, and Stag D2 Queen Toothpick on the way (along with a Becker Necker and Charge Ti).

I decided to hold off on the SMF until May and get some other 100-200 dollar large folders in the meantime (Commander, 710, Bump etc...)

Damn, Robert! I need some info on that bad boy. Ya know, name, measurements, materials, etc. Hell, add a few more photo's while your at it. Looks killer!

Hair - Snaps some shots when you get your Rukus. I've got one coming in the mail as well. Can't wait. :D
