Is yours a 2857? I thought mine was a Bullet but it looks like a Swayback Jack in person.

Just scored me a 1987 black box Coffin Jack (in fantastic shape if you don't mind me saying so). Needless to say I am in complete L O V E.

For some reason I cannot find what steel this baby is packing. Surely one of you fine aficionado's can help me out! Have not tried sharpening or anything just yet.
 
My new favorite pattern! Or patterin as my pawpaw used to say!

I really want a black box stockman and one of those rifle series single bladers you have.

These knives are awesome!!!!! At 4 1/2 inches closed, they are the size of a GEC #23!!!

Is the blade stainless? Is the bolster "beveled", or is that just a trick of the lighting?

Thanks! No, high polish 1095 carbon steel blades made by Queen for Blue Grass Cutlery who commissioned the Black Box Winchesters, this and other series as well. The bolster is round and that is a reflection of a support beam for the porch. :thumbup:

I just love this series with the rifle
 
Sak - That is gorgous! I have been realy tempted to grab the black bone sowbelly.
