The old man has always been an advid hunter and craftsman. But I collect camp knives and he believes everything should have a razor edge. So some of my earliest knife memories are of me reminding him that the edge should be "not too sharp".

late at night, there was a full moon. Out of the dark came the hairiest and spookiest beast I have ever seen. It was howling and baying, and boy did it smell really bad.

It attacked without warning. I whipped out my Civilian and just as it bit deeply into my extremely large and massive 24 inch bicep, I cut it's ugly, stinkin, smelly, rotten head off.

After surgery and 126 weeks in a Coma I awoke. There was a full moon and I was salivating. Some Nurse asked me if I knew me name. I started to say WOLFMAAAAAA, but it was so difficult to speak with the new extremely large teeth I had grown. She then said "do yo spell wolfmann with one N or two?"

The Story is true. Any reference to any product is strictly coincidental.  :p :p ;)

Ja Mon! There we was, sittin' on the porch one night and my woman says to me, "Gregory, you've been a knifemakin' man here in Jamaica for a long time. Why don't you tell the world about some of dem quality knives. The world needs to know about the RostaFrei Steel!"

So I rolled up my sleeves and then something else and went to work on the internet. Mon, I cannot believe all the knife peoples that I find there. People like the Wolfmann601. I don't know what that man been smokin' but he sure make me laugh. The Bastid who live at Gus' House and like all the goats, ja mon! I know how he feel!

And now I'm here too. My name is obvious, the name of the best steel in the world. Better than INFI, more stainless than S30V, tougher than CPM 3V. Non other than RostaFrei Steel, the number 1 steel in Jamaica and the world!

Thank you and God Bless!

Kodiak is where I live (Kodiak Alaska)
PA is what I do (Physician Assistant- PA-C)

Lots of folks were confused by this moniker. "Do you live in Pennsylvania?" "Are you a dad?" (dad=Pa)

My familyname is Tuhkanen.

Sometimes I hear myself called "tuhkis".

Well, "tuhka" is finish and means ash. "Tuhkis" is spoken language and means an ashtray...
As I've said a couple of times before, I think I'm not too pedantic...

VG poited out this funny word "tuchus" - well getta out here!:p

In fact at least one time more my nickmake has had a little bit similar efects. It makes me to think about changing it.

Or - on the other hand I think it's not worth of it.

Too much trouble...

I was branded with the nickname Gig by my older brother. He was 18 months old when I was born. For some reason his verbal version of Jeff was pronounced. . .Gig.

The nickname stuck. . .no pun intended. . .for years and years.

In my teens and early twenty's we used to go giggin'. Ever hear of a gig or giggin' ? It's the use of a pronged spear for catching fish and frogs. . . In my prime, I was known as the best or number one bull frog gigger around ! :D

Hence. . .the moniker. . .GigOne.

My first name is Tommi. I also live in Finland - you know the puukko country and the finest puukkos are Tommi style puukkos.

ohoisin is a gaelic form of my last name hissom it is realy Oh'Osin but i get lazy and do it in all lowercase, and i have it as a part of my email which will not take punctuation. it is pronounced E - Shun and means the decendants of or grand children of Osin, the ledgendary son of Fion McCool

If you break it down it makes sense:
proto = before
doc = physician

I am a med student finishing up school this year. I heard the term used by the most solipsistic, stuck-up professor and started using it as a joke but have actually developed a fondness for it.

Guess I have to change it after May, though.

Ebbtide?
It is the best tide to fish for those big ol' striped bass, in the East River, by my house!
Fishin' fueled the fire to find the 'perfect knife'
And here I am :D

I was just learing to use the internet when I stumbled across Bladeforums and said "I gotta get on this". I had my kids help me get logged on and my son told me he uses his name and age... I thought HOW MACHO, I'll use my name and age, which at the time was 45. I had carried a Colt .45 Combat Commander as a duty weapon for a number of years and when I was forced to replace it with an issue Glock .40 I still loved it and carried it off duty from time to time.

Maybe when I turn 50 I'll change my name to Ma Deuce.

Well, back in my Air Force days I was hanging around Kusan AB, Korea (1994). I carried 2 knives and a mulititool with me. Some of my fellow Airman nicknamed me "Blades"(It is on my plaque they gave me when I left). Anyways, around 1997 at my new job I found I could access the "internet". Found some knife forums here and there, needed a name, and the rest is history. :)

In about 1967 while in the US Navy, Western Pacific area, I was assigned to work for a Rear Admiral as communications/crypto specialist. Everyone had to select a unique "chop" for sign off on every scrap of paper we touched. Mine was FK inside a circle.

It has been FK since that time, left the Navy in 1970 and kept the chop. I tried several styles of script variations but evolved back to basic FK within a circle. What would the psych. majors say about the circle?

Regards,
FK

From the greatest video game series in the world of course, Metal Gear Solid.

I invented a gun holster for the lawful carry of small handguns. It's kind of like a pocket on your ankle. I was going to call it "It's kind of like a pocket on your ankle", but finally went with Ankle Pocket. NASA's been closely looking at my technology.www.anklepocket.com

Prowlngrowl was a term used in the books by Richard Marcinko when talking about sneaking around and taking care of business. When I first signed on here I went by the handle Sneaknpek or sneak and peek also from the books.
