This is a feller who takes his pics with a scanner, and they still look GREAT!Less Technology.???![]()
This is the beauty of it if you ask me no 2 the same, love it that makes it YOURS alone.Looks like I got the ultra rare smooth hemlock bone. There is a slight hint of sawcut in the pile side but as you can see the mark side is silky smooth!

Flipper-proofed!! Great idea!!Well, until I finally decide what I'm going to do with this knife, I've given it my "punch" of approval, which at least, makes it a "never flipper" knife.

Actually, the punch mark below the Blade Forums tang stamp doesn't look all that bad but it'll never be able to marketed as new/mint/unused.

More than sane, Ed!!Thanks Charlie. I'm still capable of a sane thought every once in awhile.
Can we see it on day 1 of every month? This was recommended earlier to ED and it intrigued me.
It's my new plan, I am going to carry my Forum Knife every day.
I'm going to put a thick layer of natural patina on the blade, spots and all.
I'm going to let it get scratched and marred up from keys and coins and work.
When it's looking well-used, and I've grown attached to it, I'll give it away to somebody.
That will mean more than giving somebody a brand new knife with inflated value, it will have sentimental value.
Who knows, maybe I'll do a pass-around before I gift it... That would be fun.
That's what the Forum Knife should be about!!!
Here it is on Day #1... You can watch the Totin' thread to see the progress.

Of course it's not red, it's a brown knife.Got mine today!

Mines not as red as some I’ve seen. Very nice outcome! The lines and rat tail in the bolster really make the knife.
Thankswaynorth , @gunstockjack , @Peregrin , @knarfeng and @Spark for making and allowing this to happen.

WOW, you have scored a really nice one there, Rover is obviously not in as much awe of it as i am.Popping open the tube of a freshly canned GEC is always exciting, and it has been a long time for me. A most pleasing knife that I will greatly enjoy the use of, and hang onto tightly! The contributions of all the forum cadre to have made the knife happen this year is deeply appreciated. Thank you folks.
