BladeChick777 Bad Trade!

A $35.00 knife traded for a $35.00 knife. Both made overseas so cheaply they come in clampacks, not felted boxes. The manufacturers of those knives are not making art, they are making knives which meet the standards set by their importers, mostly price-point. If I had traded a $500 knife handmade by Darrel Ralph for a $500 knife handmade by Ken Onion, I would expect high quality and near perfection of fit and finish. Not so much in a knife I could buy from a rack in K-mart or Walmart. Unsatisfied? Untrade.

good point.

i do believe the storm is made in the states though, at least they used to be.

Going to go out and also say what has been said about clamshell knives. They have a tendency to get banged up in the case during shipping. Also I think that it is a little bit silly for a member after requesting that the other individual send first befor they would ship complain only after they have shipped their own end and recived the others. It would seem to make more sense to me that if you requested that the individual ship first that you would wait till their product arived befor shipping yourself. This would have avoided the entire problem in the first place. Why ask to ship first if you are still shipping befor reciving the knife? Should be a lesson learned if this is truley the case.

I understand people saying it is a cheap knife for a cheap knife but in fact the Storm2 is a USA made knife that came in a nice box and after inspection found to have no issues at all. About the shipping timeline issue ,I asked her to ship first but she was pushy about me shipping my knife after she sent me the Delivery confirmation number on the knife she sent ;so I went ahead and shipped it ,my mistake I have never traded without pics to and from and I have never shipped at the same time with a new member now I know why. Bladechick777 has sent me an email saying she is sorry and that she will ship my knife back to me unopened however she is still being pushy about me shipping hers back, I will ship hers back to her when I get mine. I don`t feel like I overreacted in any way I asked her to send my item back and she said No she was going to keep it until she got hers back ,I just wanted to reverse the trade because of the condition not being stated clearly .Many of you say it looks used so are you saying she has lied? I will not say that she has lied but I feel misled . About my pics I just grabbed my point and shoot and set the knife on a sheet of paper and took a few pics freehand it took 6 minutes total. I started this thread to help keep others from that same problems I had run into with Bladchick777 not to cry about my situation.

She's was offering up on a trade I had posted a while ago, glad I decided not to go through.
Also @Bladechick, you've made it clear that "you never carried it" but that doesn't mean that you can say "never carried". You have eyes, when you look at the blade (whether YOU personally carried it or not) you can see that its not NIB or LNIB. Use some judgment and common sense next time.

I'm A Good Trader, I've Made A Few Trades On Here And Have Had No Issues.
I Sent His Knife Back.

I Was Not Pushy At All, You Could Have Gladly Waited. You Said You Were Going To Wait And I Said That Was Fine. And Then You Said You Might Just Wait Until I Sent The DC#, And I Told You That's What I Do Most Times. That's All I Said. And I Wasn't Pushy Today All I Said Was I Sent Your Knife, And Would Really Appreciate If You Sent Mine Back As Well, And Said It Was Fine For You To Wait To Get Yours.

knife looks used to me, whether or not it was used by her is moot. the condition is "used" even if it came out of the blister pack like that.
bladechick777 should have indicated clip condition, scratches etc or provided a photo.

Did we really need 3 pages of responses for this issue? It's a simple trade back, no need to put anyone down for not listing the knife EXACTLY as is. If I wanted to sell a BM 556 that I cut one piece of paper with, do I really need to list it as used? I've traded with Bladechick and and no problems other that her blowing the hell out of my email!!! From what shes said she's a collector, and not much of a user. I don't doubt it came new a little rough, it's only a $30 dollar knife and the Chinese don't have the highest quality control...

Not being honest is bad juju.... I've bought a knife (not from anybody in this thread) that was described not just as NIB, but BNIB.... when I asked the seller again to confirm it, he gave me a very reassuring "BNIB!" When I got it, there was a crapload of lint and residue in between the two scales, and while halfway opening the blade it had a bit of blade wiggle and obvious signs of wear from usage.

I didn't confront the seller because the price he sold it for was basically low enough where it would be a decent deal if the knife was used, heck I even gave him a positive rating (If you're reading this you'll know who you are). IMO people need to be more upfront/honest instead of false advertising. And it's especially bad when you see members who have quite a bit of supposed credibility based off of their join date/post count/membership.

Everybody is saying she wasn't honest, now I don't know her but isn't it just much more likely that what is apparent to one person, and visible in closeup pics (I have seen pictures reveals details that just looking at an item naked eye don't look bad) wasn't apparent to her on a quick inspection? I would bet she took a product she bought packaged and rightly thinking was new, looked at it and it looked to her naked eye like a 35 dollar knife should, and she set it aside. Remember some people have better attention to certain details than others, happens all the time, one person looks at an item sees no problems, another person see lots. could very well have been the situation here.

I too think the entire thread was a waste considering what was involved, only replied because seemed somebody should point out an alternative to the she lied she cheated slant the thread seems to have.

The Real Question Here Is Why Do You Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Single Word You Type?

But yeah it doesn't matter if it was a $5 trade or a $500 trade in my opinion. People need to be honest with descriptions and pictures.

I Was As Honest As Possible. I Did Not See Anything Wrong With The Knife. I Sent It As It Came In The Clamshell Packaging. And Why Is Everyone Stuck On Why I Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word? I Started Typing Like This A Long Time Ago, When I Was Younger, Because For Some Reason, I Just Liked The Look Better, And Now It's A Habit, And When I Don't Do It, My Pinky Finger Is Always Jumping Towards The Shift Button, So I Just Leave It.

FYI when using capital letters on a forum it is received as shouting. Just adding that to explain why people are mentioning it. No biggie just letting you know. :)

Ooh.. Oops. I'm Not Shouting At Anyone.
Can't We Go Back To When Capitalizing The WHOLE Word Was Classified As Shouting?
Lol. It Seems Things Used To Be Simple, And Then I Look Back Again And Ask Myself If I'm Crazy. Nothing In Life Is Ever Simple.

Capitalizing the first letter of every word could also be an indication of a poorly programmed bot. Clearly, you're not a bot, so I don't care eitherway.

Now, a lot of people here seem to think the cost of the items involved should matter when, in fact, the cost shouldn't come into play. From what I have read, the problem is solved, so I'll keep this short. The cost is subjective, perhaps someone doesn't have the cash to purchase a high-end production or custom blade and 35$ is near the top of their price range in terms of knife budget. If someone feels the transaction went down poorly, regardless of item cost, and said person can't find a resolution, then I think they are perfectly within the bounds of rationality to explain the dispute. Especially within a forum where communal harmony seems to be paramount. Bladeforums members seem to be the most welcoming people in any forum I have frequented in the past, and I surely would want to warn others of a potentially dishonest person rummaging around in their midst. This is a general statement specifically issued toward those who would discourage the OP from posting this type of information. I hope both of you worked this out civily in private so that the least amount of blood is shed from both parties involved.

I don't think BladeChick's text is hard to read, it's unusual for sure, but not hard to read.

And yes, it doesn't even matter WHY a party is unhappy with a deal, it just matters that they are. I could trade and have the party, say they just don't want my knife. I also could do the same. We don't need to do more here, than WANT to undo a deal. The reason why, is not debatable.

As I have said I didn`t and will not call bladechick777 a liar but I do not feel she acted as a responsible member of this forum should (at first) ,she has since said she is sorry and is currently fixing the things however this isn`t about just a trade back it is about the FACT that the knife looks used enough to be a problem (for me and others here) and that in person the issues in the pics are much more plain to the eye. I also would like to say if she had been reasonable about a trade back this would have never been posted here but she demanded I send her knife back and would only send mine back after she received hers ,this is not how a person who is in the wrong should react, she was going to hold my item hostage when the reason for the tradeback was her desciption oversite (Me being nice) then refused to trade back and said this is how things stand.
To bladechick777 editing your posts for content (not typo/correction) after reading other posts is considered improper on most forums it makes you look like you are hiding something and furthermore most people would think of mutiple identical emails and VMs as being pushy.

she is a new member and is learning something about knives and trading so give her a break guys :D. bladechick777, you need to get a good camera to take pictures of what you want to trade and learn how to take decent pictures. that can help out a lot.

i have seen other items that come in clamshell packs that have marks in them. the heavier the object the more likely the chance for it to get marked up. just think of all the sliding around something in a clamshell pack is going to do in transit.

as for her typing, i have seen worse typing skills. i hate to type since it bothers my hands which is why i type the way i do. every keystroke i can eliminate is 1 less i have to make :p:D
